COUNTDOWN TO FINAL CRISIS #4-1
TITANS #1
TEEN TITANS: YEAR ONE #4
DC SPECIAL: RAVEN #2
BATMAN #676 - who's brilliant idea is it to have the regular artist do the limited variant cover?
SUPERMAN #675 - (see above)
ALL STAR BATMAN AND ROBIN, THE BOY WONDER #10 - maybe they should get jim lee to do an all star superman variant.
DETECTIVE COMICS #843
BATMAN CONFIDENTIAL #16
ACTION COMICS #864
SUPERMAN/BATMAN #47
SUPERGIRL #28
JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #20
JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA #15
WONDER WOMAN #19 - wish alex ross did the cover.
THE BATMAN STRIKES! #44
TEEN TITANS GO! #54
COUNTDOWN TO FINAL CRISIS #4-1 - Ooohhh, the part of the story that you keep tagging along for all year long is finally drawing near! I can barely imagine so much happening in the next two months that Superman will actually be fighting Darkseid by April though.
ALL STAR BATMAN AND ROBIN, THE BOY WONDER #10
GREEN LANTERN #30 - Not exactly the type of story that interests me, but I'm sure Geoff Johns will be able to make it work... I hope.
GREEN LANTERN CORPS #23 - Now this is more like it!
I might pick up those two The Sinestro Corps hardcovers, because that event was the coolest thing in comics for the year 2007 for me! But the solicit text has me concerned, as volume 1 appears to cover:
- Green Lantern #18-20
- Green Lantern Sinestro Corps Special [one-shot]
- Tales of the Sinestro Corps... <character name> [all of these]
And volume two covers:
- Green Lantern #24-25
- Green Lantern Corps #16-19
So where are the rest of the GL and GL Corps issues that belong in this storyline??

A bunch of character decisions I don't agree with? Must be "Big Summer Cross-Over" time!
Getting
-Titans #1: I'm not really thrilled with the idea, but I like the characters, so I'll give it a shot.
-Teen Titans #58
-Booster Gold #8
-Batman #676: So, despite the fans loathing the idea, they're still going through with it? Wow.
-All Star Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder #10: It's like they merged two existing covers to make this one.
-Robin #173: Speaking of bad ideas, it's officially the return of Spoiler!
-Action Comics #864
-Justice League of America #20
-Tiny Titans #3: I've yet to even read issue #1, but this is already my favorite comic based off the covers alone.
Not Getting But Worth Note
-Nightwing #143: Cover of the month honors. So cool.
-Teen Titans, Year One #4: Although not to be overshadowed by another cool cover in this one.
-Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps. Hardcovers: I know I'm getting these, I just don't know if I'm waiting for the paperbacks or not.

My comments:
- I love Cliff Chiang (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview2.php?image=solicits/dccomics/200804/dcu/GABC-Cv7_solicit.jpg).
- re: Superman #675. "Kurt Busiek, gearing up for his insanely huge next project, brings his Superman run to a close!" Huh? On the one hand, I'm jazzed because I like Kurt Busiek, I like his run on Superman more than I didn't, and I'd like to see what he comes up with next. On the other hand, I'm concerned it's going to be Final Crisis or something else like it.
- Batman: Death Mask #1. Batman manga, so the average Bat fan can shout, "I'll never buy that manga crap!" and manga fans can shout, "It's not REAL manga!" I wish I were joking as much as I'd like to be on that.
- A Kamandi Countdown special? I might get it because Jack Kirby, but really...a Kamandi Countdown special?
- re: The Spirit #16. Sergio Aragones & Mark Evanier, Paul Smith, AND a Bruce Timm cover? That's like the ultimate comic book pizza combo or something.
- Interesting...a classic Legion of Superheroes TPB while the Superboy lawsuit is still going. I wonder what that means.
- New Atom and Checkmate collections. I like but don't love Gail Simone's Atom, so this is a toss-up. Checkmate, on the other hand, is wicked cool.
- Also, new Fables TPB.
- $300 for BOOKENDS (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview2.php?image=solicits/dccomics/200804/dcdirect/Sandman_Bookends.jpg)? Who buys this stuff and why can't they buy me comics instead?

Yeah. About that?
The first teaser pic of Final Crisis that DC did (well, aside from the poster to announce it), was Metron talking to Kamandi
So, that's probably what that's about.

I'll be picking up...
Booster Gold #8: This storyline sounds like a blast, and it's going to need to be...because I'm once again considering severing all ties to the regular DC Universe...
Ex Machina #36
Crossing Midnight #18: I can't recommend this book highly enough!!
Scalped #16: I can't recommend this book highly enough!!! Yes, I know, I'm repeating myself!!! :p
On the "maybe I will, maybe I won't" list:
Teen Titans: Year One #4: I read the first issue. Nice artwork, but the story made me cringe. Not sure I'll be sticking around...
Northlanders #5: Still undecided...
Legion of Super-Heroes: 1,050 Years in the Future TPB: Sounds like a fun collection, but not sure I want to spend money on a TPB when I have a pretty good collection of Legion stories already...
Superman: World of Krypton TPB: I might pick this one up going off of the cover alone...did Krypton really look that cheesy during John Bryne's run on Superman?!?

If memory serves, it's the cover from Byrne's "World of Krypton" miniseries from the late 80s, where the image shown is a flashback to a "Golden Age" of post-Crisis Krypton (before Byrne's "Vulcan knockoff" look/status quo took hold on Krypton).
I'll note for the record there was also a pre-Crisis "World of Krypton" miniseries published in 1979, where we mostly see the history of the El family (and of Jor-El's life story specifically), summing up the various previous stories told. This miniseries isn't reprinted in the upcoming trade paperback, unfortunately.
