As a lover of all things toonami (and anime), I would like to see some of the adult swim action promos given the toonami treatment (with that really cool voiceover that can make anything sound cool)

(You know, like the ones hosted at the Toonami digital archive)

WHO'S WITH ME?

El Presidente Por Vida: El Z-MAN

Are you talking about the Peter Cullen voice-over ones? Like the Advanced Robotics one, or the batman one that says "there's a new batman in town", or the dragonball one where he says "they're so cute at that age"?

If so, then I would have to say, MAKE AS MANY AS POSSIBLE!

I grew up watching Transformers in the 80's (can't wait for the new Armada series) so anything that has OPTIMUS PRIME doing the voice over is fine with me.

:D

Yes, it would be nice to have Peter Cullen do the voices on the promos. But that would make it seem similar to Toonami, then kids would watch to see "the new series from the 'makers' of DBZ", then the soccer moms call up, etc.

So, that doesn't work.

That Stephen Hawking voice isn't that bad.

The Stephen Hawking Voice just creeps me out.

This is what seperates me from Otaku. While I do have the same fanatacism about Anime, I'm a Mainstreamer.

American Otaku revel in their Counter Culture of Anime however I Believe (as a Sociologist, Obviously not an english major) that exposing more people to the things I like may make more People that I like.

As a Semi-Shallow person, I love things that sound cool, and the Peter Cullen Voice overs make everything sound cool. (from Cardcaptors to Gundam Wing.) A cool promo just increases the fun I have exposing my friends and relatives to new shows.

(See Uncle "Insert name here", It's not a kid's cartoon: (Promo with Voiceovers here)

Whereas when I tried to show my brother a promo for Pilot Candidate, He said the Show looked cool, but the promo sucked.

Besides, I wouldn't mind if kids saw some violence on the Kind that will be shown. I saw worse stuff when I was a kid: Die Hard, Nightmare on Elm Street, et al. If a parent's cool enough to stay up with their kids to let them watch that show that had the cool voiceover promo, I say go for it. And if the parent's don't know what the kids are watching, well, then they're inept.
