Hey all :)
Well, next month is the Sadie Hawkin's dance for my school (that's when the girls ask the guys), and the theme is celebrity couples. Well....both my date and I find that theme sort of....lame...and we'd much rather doing something from Batman or Superman. We'd stand out too much going as Batman and Catwoman, Batman and Batgirl or Superman and Supergirl. So, we've settled on going as Lois and Clark :D
Which is where I need some help from the Superman fans out there! Before we go getting the outfits together, I would really like to have some good reference pics, especially of Lois Lane. And, suggestions from fans would be great too. Like, whether I should get a black wig, and if it should be long or short. Or, if I should wear a skirt or a pair of slacks. And any suggestions for Clark would be great too. Thanks a lot in advance!

Here's a picture I came up with messing around on Photoshop. I tell people it's Superman's original idea for a Clark Kent disguise, which didn't work out so well.

Here's a good pic for Clark:

And here's one for Lois:

I'd say to go with a skirt suit for Lois. What color is your hair now? You might be able to get away without a wig. And make sure to get rounded glasses for your "Clark".
Sounds like a fun dance tho. Never had anything like that in my high school. Good luck to ya.

You should base your Lois on the 1950's TV show.

Wow....that's the same theme as the sadie at my school. I would use your idea, but I don't have a date :(
Such is the curse of the geek...
Post pics for sure!

Frankly, I think the idea that everyone has to ask someone out to a dance austricizes people who aren't deemed "popular" or who aren't in a relationship. Still a cute idea, but too many kids end up not going because they worry about going solo...

I'm not one to typically argue with another person's opinion (I try to respect everyone's opinion) but I just don't agree with you DisneyBoy. I don't believe that a person has to be popular or in a relationship to go to a dance with somebody. There's nothing wrong with going with somebody you know just as a friend :) .

That is the right attitude to have. But I think DisneyBoy's just alluding to the fact that the typical 16 or 17-year old does think it's a big deal to have a date. I know I did when I was that age, and it kept me from a lot of those kinds of functions.

Yeah. I'm probably going to the prom with a friend, because my boyfriend will probably be unavailable at that time (Army stuff). And if my friend is unavailable due to, um, personal reasons (The dumbnut is suicidal, dropped out of high school recently, and I swear has a plan to run away).... there's no shame in going alone. :)

Granted, I realize it's a big deal to a lot of people to have a date to a dance, but you shouldn't let that keep you from going to a dance. I think we've sort of strayed from the purpose of this thread though. Babs needs some help with ideas, and we're discussing something different, let's try to focus back on the main idea. Anyone got any good pics or ideas for a Lois and/or Clark outfit?

Thanks for trying to veer this topic back on track. And besides, Carnage and I are best buds, and we've gone, and are going, to all the dances together. Going as friends can be just as good as going with you b/f or g/f. Perhaps it's just me, but a lot of friends I know just go with friends to dances and not necesarily with someone that they're in a relationship with. But, I can see how dances can seem depressing perhaps, or not fun at least, to someone who does not have a b/f or g/f to go with.
