Even though I'm not particularly a big ManBat fat, I recognize him as a good villain- who know, maybe they just never got around to making a third ManBat episode. He wasn't the only villain to get the shaft in TNBA- The Riddler among others got screwed out of an episode as well.

--in his second apprearance he was a WO-Man-Bat (Mrs. Langstrom had been poisoned with the Chiroptera DNA). He did appear in the comics--once along with the cat-creature from "Tyger, Tyger" and the wolfman from "Moon of the Wolf" and then again in another story (I think it was Mrs. Langstrom again).

I would have enjoyed seeing ManBat, but I guess they just never got around to it. I'm also kind of glad we didn't get a new Riddler episode, because I'm not sure I could sit through 20 min. of that new costume.

Man-Bat DID make an appearance on the new style BTAS - but in the comics. Check out GOTHAM ADVENTURES #18 - it's not the greatest comic ever, but hey, Man-Bat's still in it. He's not a fave of mine, but I did like his two appearances in TERROR IN THE SKY and especially ON LEATHER WINGS. Perhaps, like Clayface and Mr. Freeze, the writers didn't want to overuse him, and just focused on good stories for his character.

Cause there wasn't that much of a story. Langstrom turns into a giant Bat, the Bat flys around at night causing havok, and Batman stops him. That's it, there's no other story to tell, what does Manbat want? He's not a criminal. I wish they told more stories about the Riddler but I figure making smart riddles and writing them in was difficult.

I've noticed in RPG's that people have the same problem with Riddler. It's a shame because he's a good character. I thought he was going to be in Gotham Adventures this year.

In GOTHAM ADVENTURES, the Riddler has already had three starring roles: in issues #1, 11, and 28. I think he is going to be coming up in a future issue, though I'm unsure.

The Riddler has appeared a great deal in the animated comics, actually. He was in BATMAN ADVENTURES #10 (I can't remember if there were more from this series), BATMAN & ROBIN ADVENTURES #3 and 21, and then the three issues I mentioned in the previous paragraph. I don't understand why the writers just didn't adapt one of these stories into episodes. Sigh.

The writers just probably weren't inspired enough to write a good episode with him in it, same as with Riddler. Still, I would have liked to see him again.
