As we know the main villain in this episode is Vandal Savage, but what about the supporting villain? I'm betting that it's Per Degaton--a time travelling villain who was an adversary of the Golden Age. Here's some information on him:

In addition to Per Degaton, the possibilities for utilizing other Golden Age villains are endless. It’s probable that, since they’re fighting in World War II, the creative team could use a Nazi villain…of which DC Comics has many. Possible foes include Captain Nazi (Captain Marvel’s adversary) and Baron Blitzkrieg (a Wonder Woman villain). Of course they'd probably have to change their uniforms a little (I doubt that they'll use real swastikas), but they could be in there.

That guy often shows up now and again. He seems to know quite a bit of inside info, and hasn't really steered us wrong yet. Don't know who he is though...

Why does their NEED to be a supporting villain?

I think Vandal Savage will probably whip a couple of Velociraptors to combat the JL (I'm pretty sure he's done that before). I don't think Vandal is much on teamwork... :)

True, but as far as I know he's not a time traveller. He's an immortal, so he can only travel forward like us...just for a longer period of time. I just figured that he'd get paired up with a time traveller like Per Degaton.
Oh well. So, we have a team being thrown back in time by someone, but not by Per Degaton. The Lord of Time, perhaps?

no offense, but you're way off. you have to remember that a majority of the obscure characters aren't going to show up early on in the series. Or, if they do show up... it's a different/newer version.
Technically they're all obscure villains. Most people's knowledge of DC characters doesn't go much beyond Superfriends. And, finally...

Why not?
