Does anybody know who the production company is for Justice League? I'm currently trying to approach them about writing a spec script, but I don't know who to go to.

Karkull....it is Warner Bros Animation. You should be able to find their address in the internet yellow pages. They're in Sherman Oaks, CA.

Best of luck!

I think I might just write a little script for JL,myself. And, while I'm at it, I'll probably turn in some sample character designs.

Is the production company for Justice League THAT open to ideas??? That would be awesome if they are. I just hope they're not all "high and mighty", with a "How dare you think to use our mailbox as a suggestion box!" or anything like that.

When I was young, I used to send suggestions to Nintendo for video game ideas, and Sunbow Productions for Transformers/G.I. Joe episode ideas. :) I'd even sign notes saying "These ideas are free for you to use, and I won't try to profit from them in any way. I'm freely giving these ideas to *name of production company*." However, I 'd just get form letters back saying that, for legal reasons, they weren't allowed to take suggestions from fans!

To this day, I wonder if making a suggestion kills the idea before anyone at the place you wrote to could come up with the same (or similar) idea on their own. So is the only way you'll have a chance of seeing what you want done is to NEVER suggest it?!?

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Or have I just had a bad set of experiences to base my judgement on?

Cool. Let us know how it turns out.

Some of us are keenly interested, you see, because some of us just found out this afternoon that the freakin' academic department in which they have a one-year appointment decided at the last moment to hire someone full time to take that position, and totally failed to inform some of us of that fact, with the consequence that some of us were SCREWED out of being able to apply for the position and so will not have a job next year, and so some of us are feeling so freakin' pissed off that they've pretty much decided to chuck the whole stupid university gig and go do something with their lives that has more dignity to it, like garbage collection or writing cartoons, but whereas garbage collection has its definite downside the thought of writing adventures where kick-ass superheroes and supervillains get to bat around fire trucks and knock over buildings and blow up freakin' planets strikes some of us as having a definite therapeutic kick to it.

As I say, some of us are very interested to hear back about your attempt.

I just won't mention any names in connection with that interest.

They aren't going to accept your unsolicited script. That can lead to lawsuits, so they will receive it and immediately throw it in the trash unread. Get an agent. You probably have to be a member of the Writer's Guild, too, though I'm too keen on that part of the game. Also, the writers probably are probably under contract with WB, so there you have it.

Oh Jesus, I'm sorry to hear that Maxie... I've heard too many tales of profs getting treated like dirt, and I was hoping you'd escape the trend.

Ahem, back on topic. I think WBA used to be a lot more receptive to solicited scripts, but I'm pretty sure they've gotten a lot more strict about doing everything in-house nowadays.

That really stinks Maxie. Those JERKS don't know who they're losing.

As far as scripts go: Whether I'm a fan or not, the day I write a kick butt script for JL or anything Batman is the day Bruce Wayne wears his undies on the outside instead of Batman. But as for YOU guys and your script ideas, I wish you the best of luck. :)
