How do I download dvds to my 80gb ipod classic?

I Really would like to put some dvds on my 80gb ipod classic,so that I don't have to pay apple's stupid prices to download movies.
Here are the movies I want to download to my ipod:
High school musical 2
A couple of episodes from my batman the animated series season sets.
Cinderella 2
barbie as the island princess
Barbie as rapunzel
and:
Bratz fashion pixzies
I've tried alot of dvd programs but they haven't worked.

Well, it's technicly illegal to rip DVDs to your iPod or any device, but unlike the CD and Record industry, it's actually illegal I think.

You can try a program online, but rmeember if you get caught, you could get fined, liek the woman who has to pay 220,000 for allowing 24 songs to be downloaded from her

And I do agree Apple's prices are steep for some movies (especially if you already have the DVDs), but their TV show policy is pretty fair IMO

If you own the DVDs, you can use HandBrake (http://handbrake.fr/).

If you're on a Mac, you can use iSquint (http://www.isquint.org/).

And I do agree Apple's prices are steep for some movies (especially if you already have the DVDs), but their TV show policy is pretty fair IMOIf you own the DVDs, and as long as you don't break any encryptions while doing so, its legal to rip them on your Hard Drive, to another DVD, or to your iPod or other portable viewing device. If you are on the PC, use VirtualDub.
