I was just going by AS' schedule, which had it there. I changed it now though.

Man, Adult Swim's schedule really sucks this week. I hate marathons. But, I can't really blame them. Futurama gets ratings, and this will be their last chance to milk it for all it's worth. Hell, if I was running Adult Swim I'd probably just run nothing but Futurama for three months straight. Then maybe when it goes to Comedy Central people would finally be sick of it and it would get low ratings and I'd make a card that says "Enjoy your Futurama, suckers!" Oh, who am I kidding, Adult Swim could probably run nothing but Futurama for three straight years and it would still get ratings on Comedy Central.

Is there a place where I can see all of the hilarious Last Futurama Marathon commercials? I've been watching the marathon mainly for them.

Apparently AS loses Futurama at midnight tonight, hence the Family Guy reruns at 2:30.

Looks like they also made a little tribute on their website's front page... (http://i.adultswim.com/adultswim/tools/img/cards/home/2007/12/31.jpg)

I like how they take credit for making Futurama what it is today. Well, they did, I guess. But still, it's not very modest of them.

I like that the final two Futuramas to air on AS(tonight) are "Space Pilot 3000" & "Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings".

Harvey Birdman's dead and gone and now look who's in charge
Antichrists and backwards-legged chickenmen at large
Aqua Teens hit movie screens, and Boston's wracked with fear
'Tis what made '07 an [adult swim] type of year!

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace and Saul are good to go
Tim and Eric say they have a really awesome show
Cartoon Network goes live action, we will do the same
At least we have a good excuse: IT'S NOT OUR FRICKING NAME!

Pooping, farting, urinating, getting girls in bed
80s cartoon references that go over my head
Robot Chicken season three is such an awful bore
If I want drunken frat boy humor, I'll go watch G4!

There's a new production from the Wonder Showzen team
Xavier: Renegade Angel, it really is a scream
Crappy CG rendering, but let's be on the level
At least he's had more screen time than Lucy of the Devil!

Sadly, Futurama ends its Cartoon Network run
Really sad to see it go, it was a lot of fun
Before you go to Comedy Central, let me say this now:
DON'T LEAVE US HERE WITH FAMILY GUY PLEASE!!
THAT SHOW'S GONE DOWNHILL SINCE SEASON FIVE! THEY'RE NOT EVEN TRYING ANYMORE!!!
Don't go...please don't go...

Anime on [adult swim] to much does not amount
Just Death Note, Blood Plus, Shin Chan (and Boondocks doesn't count)
Code Geass comes in '08 with more cute girls in mecha
I just hope it can follow up when Renton kissed Eureka!

RENTON KISSED EUREKAAAAAAA!

Awesome poem. I LOL'd at the ending.

Anyway, while this arc is probably the dullest part of part of E7, it's not without its positives. In tonight's episode, I especially liked the nod to Frank Llyod Wright's architectural styling.

...And also Renton eating 5 pizzas in one sitting.

I completely forgot how over-the-top the violence is in the Superjail pilot. I'm still amazed at the fact that the writers were able to find so many ways to kill the prisoners.

That's amazing. There was, what, over a year between the first and second halves of the season? Why would they put so much time into such a one note show?

It's the reason why USA, Sci-Fi, and Comedy Central put such a long delay between the first and second halves of their show's seasons. Delays are what makes us enjoy them more. I think.

I watched the Lucy pilot last night -- that was painful to get through.

Remind me why everyone wanted so badly for that show to become a series? I was one of them, sure, but jeez if the first season wasn't such a dissapointment then I really don't know anymore.

I think it was less the humor used in the pilot and more the concept. I mean, you look at the concept and figure there's no way they can **** this up. I mean, Satan has a daughter that's dating jesus? There's so many things they can do with the concept. Unfortunately, I think we all learned that no matter how good a concept is, some people can always find a way to **** it up.

Agreed, and I feel bad about saying that since so much great talent from Home Movies was involved. It could've been great.

That sounds about right. When I first saw Lucy, I saw something with an ongoing plot that wasn't too cheaply made. What we got instead...not fun.

Is that Ep 21? Cause that's on the Fix (Remember watching a Bunny part in it) No, it's episode 7. That's the one with the original tale about the Happiness Bunny coming to life (at least in a dream) to make life a living hell for Penny and her mother.

In tonight's episode of Fullmetal Alchemist, there's a detective who has a striking resemblance to Inspector Zenigata.

I was curious: Is the voice actor the same person who does the voice of Zenigata in Funimation's version of Lupin the Third?

AAAAHHHH!!!! Not Happy People Again! We just got done with Happy People and now it's back on Saturdays! The horror! Speaking of Happy People, does anybody know who that black haired guy is who's standing next to Renji?

That sounds about right. When I first saw Lucy, I saw something with an ongoing plot that wasn't too cheaply made. What we got instead...not fun.

I think one of the biggest problems with the show is that Lucy is barely in it. I mean, think about all the ways they could go about a show about the devil's daughter. I mean, picture Lisa Simpson or Meg Griffin or just about any female character with half of a personality as Satan's daughter. So many opportunities for hilarity. But, Lucy's such a non-character that there's nothing there. I mean, is she in college? I could have sworn she was in college in the pilot, but it's been so long since I've seen it that I can't remember. Doesn't she have any friends? What the hell does she do all day? They've pretty much squandered any potential that the character could have.

Also, why the hell do they give that disgusting skeleton woman so much screen time? She's not funny and I can't stand looking at her.

Since it's all action again tonight, I decided to put up my own lines of the night from each show in the first three hours, just for the heck of it:

Bleach
Yasochika Iemura: Lately, due to the recent Ryoka disturbance, our Squad 4 station is in daily chaos. Especially considering the recent plethora of men from Saquad 11 who have been hospitalized. Seriously, they've kept us very busy. As if that wasn't bad enough, yesterday the captains form Squads 8 and 13 requested to have a Ryoka admitted. As a result, the entire squad has been forced to implement a triple shift emergency protocol. Hmpf! Things have gotten out of hand, the squad's already stretched thin, and on top of that, being asked to admit a Ryoka is just completely incomprehensible! Really, enough is enough! Why anyone would want a Ryoka to be hospitalized and treated in the first place is completely beyond me! It's not as if dealing with Squad 13's Captain Ukitake wasn't enough of a challenge, we've got Captain Kyoraku of Squad 8 running around chasing women all over the place! Not to mention the trashy way he dresses and how he's always asleep when you need something! I'll never get how someone like that became a captain while I...!
Nurse: Uh sir.
Iemura: What is it nurse?
Nurse: We just received a request from Captain Tosen of Squad 9. He would like us to admit a Ryoka for treatment.
Iemura: I see.
Nurse: And uh, sorry, but you were thinking out loud again.
Iemura: AHHHHH! Of course it goes without saying that I have nothing but the utmost respect for Captain Kyoraku.

Death Note
???: It's a dangerous game you're playing, there's a chance you could be killed. Do you understand?
Misa: It's all right, I'm sure Kira is kind to those with pure hearts. And if it came down to that, I'm still stronger than he is, because I have the eyes!

Fullmetal Alchemist
Claire: Do I need to put you two boys in a corner?
Edward: Wait, and what dress-up doll outfit are you wearing today Claire?!
Alphonse: I know! Your a school teacher right? You're working for a school that's about to be shut down and this time you won't be too late! Isn't that right Claire?
Claire: You guessed it, but maybe we shouldn't talk about it with the K-I-Ds.

Blood +
Lewis: I am a former CIA agent.
Okamura: Uh, gimme a break. The CIA doesn't hire lard-asses like you.
Lewis: I didn't always use to be like this. Take a look!
Okamura: *gags up a lung*
Lewis: You'll be surprised how people can change. You just never know...

Samurai Champloo
Manzo: FOR PETE'S SAKE!
Mugen: Look what popped up.

Big O
Dorothy: You're a louse, Roger Smith.
Roger: Well that's a first, I'm used to human women saying that to me.

Here's hoping Saturday night's all right for fighting (and writing people to death).
