This is for those anime you like but don't air on television(or did air on television but wasn't handled correctly). What anime movies, OVA's or series would you like to see on television? What network would work for it and why? You don't have to limit yourself to networks that air anime currently, you can mention networks that don't air anime if you can provide reasons for it.
And if you live in another country, well you can mention the networks as well. This is an international topic after all.;)
I want Texhnolize and GTS to air on the Sci-fi channel, thatd be just perfect. its where they belong, in america.
Hm. I have two.
Anime: BECK Mongolian Chop Squad & Air Gear.
Network: FUSE
Why: BECK ultimately fits on FUSE due to it being show about a rising rock band and FUSE is the name for Alternative Rock on television, and Air Gear cause of the underground culture in rooted in Air Trecks goes great with the underground scenes seen in coverage of Tours and upcoming acts.

Yeah but they'll probably get preempted every other week so Fuse can show some horror movie from 20 years ago.
Anime- Yakitate Japan
Channel- Food Network
Reason- Even though the words anime will never even be a thought in the minds of people who watch the Food Network, Yakitate Japan would be a good fit. Since the show is about bread and competitions. It even teaches you the different ways the breads are made. It would be like watching an animated version of Alton Brown.
Anime-HunterXHunter
Channel-Cartoon Network(Toonami)
Reason-First reason, we are severely lacking HunterXHunter in our lives. Second reason,Toonami needs it to jump start their block with a well rounded show.Third reason, since we all remembered how Yu Yu Hakusho was handled during it's last run, I believe HxH could avenge that.

I want to see the one of the Japanese bakery dream.
I don't know its name, but it's the one where a kid has his talented hands for baking.
HG Revolution

Anime- SGT Frog
Channel- Nickelodeon
Reason- Since Toonami no longer has the space or interest and Anime Network never had the power, Nick seems like a decent choice. If they air it in the last hour with their edgier sitcoms, it wouldn't need too much editing and Nick might want something to make up for giving up on ZIM. Their record with aquisitions admittedly isn't great, but with the strike they might want all the new shows they can get.
Anime- Monster
Channel- TNT
Reason- The network filled to the brim with Law and Order reruns would be a perfect home for this series. And while they're at it, move Death Note next to it to create the greatest animation mystery hour known to man.

Couldn't have said it better myself! :p
Id like to see Kekkaishi on Toonami

That would be amazing if one day I could turn on Food Network and watch that show. I don't know anywhere else on Tv were it would work perfectly.
I'd love to see Raxhephon somewhere, I just don't know what channel. Maybe adultswim?

I don't know ifRahXephon anywhere.
It had aired on G4 like 2 or so years back when Anime Unleashed finally was crushed.

It hasn't been confirmed yet. It's purely speculation at this moment. Basically it's a lot of us praying it'll be shown on Toonami or on Jetstream.
Anyways . . .
Anime-Buso Renkin
Channel-Cartoon Network (specifically Toonami)
Reason-Rurouni Kenshin was one of the most popular programs that Toonami ever aired. And now, an anime based on a manga by the creator of Rurouni Kenshin is here, except it's more palpable to the younger audience that Cartoon Network is coveting. 26 episodes=low risk, for the series will be over quickly and if it performs poorly it need not be shown ever again. A strong lead female character and elements of romance between the female and male leads enhances the anime's appeal to girls, and it is stuffed with enough action to capture the attention of any 9-14 year-old boy.
Buso Renkin . . . only Toonami.
Anime-Black Lagoon
Channel-Spike TV
Reason-Spike's ridiculous pandering to testosterone actually serves this series well. Gunplay galore. The female lead is admittedly one of the most sultry in anime history, and she kills a LOT of people. With the butchness of the males surrounding her (save Rock) this show fits the appeal of those who like stuff blowing up. A lot. With R-rated swearing and witty one-liners.
This is definitely a guy's show that fits well on a channel that panders to your stereotypical guy's biggest fantasies.

There would have to be a WHOLE lot of editing going on with the language unless it was on late enough; probably in the slot that Afro Samurai was in. Every other word would end up being bleeped out otherwise.
I don't know how well it would work, but also Samurai 7 on adultswim. I can't remember where I read it, but somebody mentioned before about wanting it to air there. It was that or some other local channel.

I was basically thinking it could follow the second season of Afro Samurai when it airs.
As for Samurai 7 . . . it could work. Problem is, AS went for Trinity Blood instead of S7 when they were both on the market, and S7 has similiar problems (like the ending, or lack thereof) anyway. I also don't think S7 would've done a lot lot better than TB did either.

That was never said. Some fans want it on Toonami, but nothing official has been said. It hasn't been confirmed by Viz that they picked up the title.
Anyway, here's some of my list:
Title: His or Her Circumstances
Channel: The N
Why: It's the perfect teen show for the new network. The main characters are just starting off high school and the show has the right amount of drama and comedy to balance each other out. I think it would do well with the 12-17 group that The N is targeting.
Title: Beet the Vandel Buster
Channel: Toon Disney(or rather Jetix specifically)
Why: IMO, I never thought the show was really Toonami-worthy. It seemed more for Miguzi or Dynamite Action Squad. However, it does seem to have a good home in the form of Jetix. It would make a nice hour with Digimon: Data Squad.
Title: Kodocha
Channel: Nicktoons Network or The N
Why: The show seems to be a natural fit for the Nicktoons Network. Sana's hyperactive personality and the comedy in the show would fit in with shows like Spongebob, FOP, Avatar, and other shows. I put The N because I could see it doing well with girls 9-14 on the network.
Title: Air Gear
Channel: Cartoon Network(Toonami)
Why: I feel like this show would fit in well with Toonami. You have a likeable lead(Ikki), nice music, good action(well, it is AT riding), and funny comedy. The only problems is the nudity(editable), language(ADV really put alot of it in the dub), and some suggestive dialogue(Ikki's teacher...enough said). It would make a nice 10:30 slot after One Piece.
Title: Marmalade Boy
Channel: The N
Why: Well...it's a love story, so it has enough drama and twists and turns to keep a teenage girl watching. The only thing against it is it's age, since it's over 10 years old.

Title: The Skullman
Channel: Cartoon Network (Adult Swim)
Why: It's a bloody good show (my favorite of 2007 in fact) that's why and even if it's not to everyones taste it's only 13 episodes. It has old school style, it's mature, it's a bit dark, and it's a bit operatic.
Why Not: It hasn't been licensed yet. Also it's based on the works of Shotaro Ishinomri like the Cyborg 009 series that aired on Toonami and the animated Kikaider series that aired on Adult Swim; I don't think either of those series pulled in very good ratings so the guys at Williams Street and/or their higher-ups might not want the show.

I would like to see Neon Genesis back on Adult Swim, and Ghost in Shell as well as Coyboy Bebop back on either SBS or ABC.

I'd love to see Black Lagoon on Adult Swim. It's seinen so those who want only seinen shows on Adult Swim would be happy, it's got action galore to draw in the crowds that are sick of talky anime shows, it's -somewhat- episodic so new viewers won't be lost as heck if they tune in a few episodes in, and it has excellent production values for TV standards. To top things off, it has a storyline and tone which would more than likely appeal to the casual anime viewer, which is obviously important for ratings.
Yeah the show has a lot of harder swearing in the dub, but they could bleep words if need be.

I want to see anime on some of the french channels here in Québec. Only a few kids series like Naruto and Cardcaptor Sakura have played on Teletoon (our Cartoon Network). We have a channel called Z Télé who specializes in sci-fi and science/technology, a perfect place for series like Cowboy Bebop, Planetes, Trigun and all the mecha shows.

Title- Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star)
Channel-AS/pre 2004 SVES
Reason-This shonen would have definetly aired on AS due to the gory nature of the fighting style and the fact in every episode a head is blown up due to pressure or someone is graphically killed. However this would have made a perfect slot when AS had YuYu Hakusho.Another option would have been to show it during SVES with Saint Seiya and just have people blow up in an energy blast a la DBZ by editing the dismemberment up. Sure it would have angered many an otaku but it would have been a nice hour between the two shows..

I'd like to see Gundam 00 on Adult Swim just to get Gundam back on CN airwaves (and Gundam MSIA figures back on retail store shelves), but I'd probably win a 100 million dollar lottery before that will ever happen.

That or Cartoon Network. Kodocha anywhere on T.V would be awesome (though I think it's on the Funimation channel, already)
Mushi-Shi and Kino's Journey would be great for the IFC channel. Mushi-Shi has a chance since it's a Funi liscense, anyway
Yakitate! Japan on Food Network would be cool, but it's kind of a kooky show, it might work better on Cartoon Network or something like that.
Denno Coil might work on Nicktoons Network. It's a mix of drama and some light-hearted fun, kind of like Avatar.
Nodame Cantabile on some kind of music channel...but it would be odd to see it on MTV. I'd love for WE or maybe Lifetime to have a Josei lineup that would have titles like Nodame, Nana, Honey and Clover, Paradise Kiss, etc...

"Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" seems destined for the Anime Network, but I wish the case were otherwise 'cause this seems like a very appealing show that would fit very well on places like Cartoon Network and G4.
