With the rise of comics like G.I.Joe and Transformers can a He-man comic book be far behind. If so, I have a wonderful idea for a series based off the Master Of Universe mythology. Master Of The Universe Legends, a title that will focus have three stories each month focusing on a singe characters. For example, the first part of the comics could deal with the hero side of Master with stories about He-man and Man-At-Arms, the second story with a villian focus, and finally a comical point of view with characters like Orko and others. Like the recently cancelled Utimate Marvel Team-Ups, Legends would have a continuing round of writers andartists doing stories each month.

Former Master veteran like J.Michael Straczynski (Rising Stars, Amazing Spider-Man), Paul Dini (Batman:TAS), and Bruce Timm (Batman:TAS) could contributed with their new take on the Master of Universe characters and myths. Talented comics artists and writers such as Mike Allred (MadMan) and Joe Mad (Battle Chasers) would bring their wonderful talent to the Master Myth.

Just think of the possiblities, a Garth Enis Skeletor focused story, Joe Mad drawing He-Man and Battle-Cat, and Straczynksi writing an epic tale about He-Man and his amazing journeys.

Do you think that this a good idea for a comic book?

I've seen a redesign for these toys in ToyFare - they should be out soon. I believe a new cartoon series is planned., so a new comic series is a possibilty. That would all be cool with me - I loved these toys as a kid. :yakko:

Right now there's no plans for a series. They are, however, going to have an all new He-Man animated special that delves into his origin. I imagine if that does well, and the toy line sells well, they'll look into making a regualr series.

I could see a series being really cool - provided they did it correctly. Who knows, maybe we could finally get some info on the elusive He-Ro.
