Wow, that iMPACT! was amazing. Hardcore, ladder, and cage matches on free TV? INSTANT WIN. Kurt Angle making Santa tap out with that little girl crying was the main highlight :D :D
And of course I marked out when Christian came to save Christmas.

One gimmick match after another. Kurt Angle plays the Vince McMahon "I never got anything from Santa" card, which is still lame. AJ Styles embarasses himself again. Definitely a Vince Russo production.
Traci Brooks knows how to fill out a Santa's helper costume. And when she came out for her match, she got a kiss from a fan. It wasn't that long ago that they chanted "Stuff her stocking!" to Matt Bentley when Traci was his valet. The sooner they get her away from Rantin' Robert Roode, the better.
Memo to Traci & Christy Hemme: Wearing socks over hose isn't quite so popular anymore.
Who were those two fat jabronies at the party?
Was that really Butch Miller (ex-Sheepherder/Bushwhacker) at the party?
What's the deal with Samoa Joe? A new storyline starting without explanation? Typical Russo.
Memo to Brother Ray. Now, you're 0-2 in a Santa Claus suit. If someone asks you to do this next year, tell them to find another patsy. AJ Styles will still be available.
Yo, Styles. You wearing those costumes to Sunday School?
Worst. Impact. Of the Year.

This Impact could have been the worst ever but the main event somewhat saved it.
Most of the matches seem very sloppy to me. Most of the matches boiled down to high spots after high spots then it's over.
Rellik, Abyss, Black Reign and SHARKBOY? Why was Shark Boy inserted in this match?
Once again AJ Styles was booked as a moron. Really after that performance did he not deserve better?

It's funny how split the online wrestling fans (myself included) are on this impact. I think I might have mentioned this on TZ before, but if you recognize some TNA stuff like a puro fan would recognize Hustle or Dramatic Dream Team, and it might get appreciated more. I mean, really, Christmas lights on a cage? A pole match where the poles looked like candy canes? Reindeer costume ladder match? If you couldn't appreciate that they at least seemed to be spoofing themselves the entire night and wasn't taking much seriously, then you might as well stop watching the show. Last night, as well as the Thanksgiving episode in my opinion, was the fun side of how ridiculous wrestling actually is.
Plus TNA's women's division simply has one of the best feuds going today in either federation.
I say to those that might not have liked it to try watching the rerun, but without the seriousness that you might have put into earlier. Why question Sharkboy's reason for being in the match? It was just for the sake of being fun and random for the night, if anything.:D

You can never have too much Shark Boy.
Anywho, I liked last night's iMPACT!, I liked the whole Christmas theme to it and the matches were pretty good for a non-PPV show.

Easily one of the best iMPACTS I've ever seen. They celebrated the special night by having every match with some sort of gimmick, and it worked. The wrestling was top notch, and I was laughing from the beginning to the end. Sharkboy in a hardcore match? And a barbed wire Christmas tree?! AWESOME. The AJ-Kaz match was epic and I'm loving how AJ always ends up in a costume of some sort. Ans then when Kurt Angle ruins Christmas Christian jumps out of a gift to save the day.
This show was genius. People who didn't enjoy it are just taking wrestling far too seriously. Seriously. Kurt Angle put Santa in an ankle lock while a girl in the audience was crying. That's one of the most awesome things I've ever seen.

I stand corrected. It was Luke Williams, not Butch Miller, who was at the party. Found that out from Meltzer's site. Well, having not seen either one of them in 10-15 years will get a guy confused, and.......!

I'm not being a TNA hater it's just that some of the skits they do I've seen before. The matches last night were all good for gimmick matches but when you have 4 or more wrestlers in a match it tends to get very sloppy and it boils down to high spots after high spots like last night. That is why I enjoyed the Styles versus Kaz Match because they actually added some wrestling to a gimmick match instead of just relying on high spots.
Don't get me wrong I appreciate TNA and had been a TNA fan since 2003 but I appreciated TNA more when they put on great matches instead of putting on more skits/promos that are either ill received or just plain horrid.

Still don't have cable or Internet of my own (soon, though). How did the Sting/Angle feud end up, how did Angle get the title back, and is Sting still even wrestling?

Sting decided to start going part-time(only appearing once every few months), so he dropped the title to Angle with interference from Nash on iMPACT!.

I’m late with my TNA comments, but it’s the holidays. Speaking of which the opening video was a bit too crazy again. This excitement over a holiday show and allowing it to permeate the main event is the epitome of 1980s southern wrestling. Guess where Dutch Mantell comes from?
The Christmas party was a little better than the Thanksgiving feast, but it still bothers me that it looks like it’s at a house, but people leave it and are instantly in the arena. Seeing Bushwhacker Luke was certainly a surprise and Angelina & Skye were rather funny until Nash arrived and all the women were fighting over him or whatever. And then Samoa Joe ruined Christmas!! :p
The matches were pretty much all good, but I’m surprised seeing the humor complimented when I thought TNA was supposed to be all about wrestling. I suppose I should try to stop going in with that expectation when we’ve got lights on the cage, midget doppelgangers, candy cane poles, a ‘Santa’s Workshop Knockout Street Fight,’ ‘Silent night, bloody night,’ the loser of a match dressing up in a reindeer suit and Santa Claus tapping out to the Champion. For years TNA has told me (perhaps not directly) that I wouldn’t get this stuff with them and now it’s all I see. I guess I need to adjust expectations.
Who were those two fat jabronies at the party? It was Phi Delta Slam making a non-comeback. They were in a feud between Traci Brooks and Trinity which was oddly over who got to “assist” Dusty Rhodes (it's good to have the book). Traci had The Harris Brothers and they beat Trinity's big boys.

I've got no problems with it on a one-off Christmas show. Its the fact that they keep doing it week after week that's bothering me.

Only got to see the end of the ladder match and just before AJ had to put on the suit.
