Since we have so many different characters with different powers, who do you think is the strongest, and why? Feel free to do top 5, top 10, etc, as listing them all would be ridiculous! (I shall be leaving out Vizards in my list).

1. Yamamoto- This guy is the Leader of all the Captains, you can't have a position like that and NOT be powerful, eh?
2. Urahara- He has displayed that he comes up with some great battle inventions, and although we haven't really seen him fight for too long, he just comes off as a badass, and when he does fight, he is usually doing something amazing.
3. Ulquiorra- He doesn't seem to be afraid of anything, and he comes across as incredibly harsh, 2 things that are key in order to being a successful Espada, let alone a ruthless killer, which, IMO, makes him incredibly strong.
4. Yoruichi- She also comes off as having a strong presence, being so incredibly fast definately has its benefits, not to mention her killer technique, so I believe her to be right up there with Urahara.
5. Grimmjow- In ever battle he has fought with Ichigo, ultimately he has dominated him, even with 1 arm gone, maybe he got caught off guard with Hollow Ichigo, but I believe that he has proved his power again and again with his battles.

I'll add more later...

Discuss.

1. Aizen: The big bad, so this makes the most sense
2. Arrancar #1 (proably Starks or the Old Man): Should be way up there.
3. Urahara: His true strength is a mystery, but I'm guessing he's really strong.
4. Arrancar #2 (probably whoever isn't #1)
5. Yamamoto: We know he could own two of the strongest Captains with ease.
6. Arrancar #3 (most likely Halibel)
7/8: Ukitake/Kyouraku: They're easily the strongest captains aside from Yamamoto
9. Isshin
10. Ryuuken

Most of the strongest characters haven't really shown they're all yet. (The closest anyone on this list has come is Yamamoto, Ukitake and Kyouraku using their shikai)

Why bother with any lists? We all know who is really the top fighter in Bleach...

Szayel Aporro

You can't kill the guy, he always wins no matter how bad the odds are, and he is far stronger then any man with pink hair has any right to be. Case closed.

Wow. I can't believe I forgot about Aizen, yeah, he is definately up on my list also. I'd list the other Arrancar, but since we haven't really met them, I left them out.

But, I'd also include Nel high up on my list also.

I'm in favor of Ulquiorra but the fact is he'd be like 4 on my list.

1. King of the Shinigami (Soul Reapers) [The biggest mystery of the series IMO at this point)
2. Aizen
