As a side note, I enjoy Death Note, but the only reason why I didn't choose it as best series is so far we've only seen 10 episodes of this series. Compared to the 52 we seen on Bleach, I still need more episodes to view from Death Note to choose it as Best Series. So if it makes it into next years Best Series, then I will consider it.

Another tough one. Robot Chicken Star Wars was funny but not as good from repeated viewing. Drinky Crow was nice on the eyes (some of the visuals were funny :glug glug: ) but bad when it came to being an entertaining story.

I'll choose Robot Chicken Star Wars though the Best Special in my eyes was Let's Fish.

My choice: Blue Harvest because it was nice to see a Family Guy episode without random cutaways for a change. There were some better Boondocks and Tim and Eric episodes that should have been nominated (the Usher episode, Salame) and where's the love for Dethklok?

I know people hate live action on Adult Swim but to nominate the shows for Worst Animation is foolish.


And now, some awards that were given out at a private ceremony earlier today:

The award for "Best Show with the Worst Budget" goes to "Space Shyps" from Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job. Going from poor production values to poor merchandise (and having no shame in each skit), Shyps won hands down.

The "Best Show You're Not Watching" award goes to Astroboy - a gem from the past presenting ideas of the future.


The title of "Character in Need of a Hug" went to Kai from Blood+. From getting beat up by adults to having his brother turn into a vampire to bad run-ins with the ladies, he needs some good luck his way.

"Best Cosplay" went to Lucas from Blood+ for his resemblance to King Kai, beating fellow nominees Hagi for his Wolf Wood similarities and Bleach's Yumichika for the Android 17 homage.


The "Oh, How The Mighty have Fallen" award goes to a show that started out great, and became bad to the point where you don't want it to continue. This year's winner is .... Robot Chicken, which should air "specials" to replace future "what obscure characters can we use next season" episodes.

"Best Stunt on Adult Swim" was a close race, but the winner was the Astroboy marathon on Christmas giving viewers the chance to watch a truly unique show. Runner-up went to the Perfect Hair Forever marathon, which also debuted a new episode.

"Worst Stunt on Adult Swim" went to the constant changes to their lineup without notice.

The "Series in need of an Editor" award went to Bleach, where the "filler" episodes had more content in one episode than five episodes from the main storyline.

"Most Misleading Title" goes to Blood+ which should be called Blood *

"Biggest Competition to Adult Swim" goes to Ani-Monday which proves you can air anime without insulting your viewers.

The "Otaku Trap", an award given when anime fans hype something and it turns out to be a letdown, went to the hype for vampire anime. Although Blood+ is watchable, it still proves vampire stories aren't very good. If Hellsing is truly great, flood AS with letters to get them to air the series. Runner-up goes to Bleach for going on about how great the series is after Episode 41.

The "Grim Reaper" award is my way of listing anime I've greatly enjoyed that bombed on Cartoon Network and have since disappeared (Past winners include Lupin the Third, Kenshin, Bobobo, and Case Closed). This year's winner appears to be Death Note which really deserves more viewers than the ratings report has/ has not shown.

And lastly, a special award was given to "Uncle Muscles" for constantly making me laugh every time the segment appears during Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job. Great Job, Indeed.
