Heeeeeey, we got a new record? I didn't even notice! (then again, I tend to not notice quite a lot of things....)

Yup - we did that this morning, mostly thanks to out mention at www.darkhorizons.com. It just brought in the hits! We're getting mentioned alot around the net, now, and it's helping to bring in new folks.

Gee, just think how many new faces we'd have if Jim were to encourage ppl to sign up with the forums in his sig @ the bottom of his News Posts....

Wow...that's actually not a bad idea...I may do that sometime eventually. That could work.

Well, don't get too caried away. The more people there are, the more probs. come up. ;) I mean I'm all for having more ppl come, but some bad things come with it. :)

Yeah, that does sometimes come with the territory. When we first opened these boards, we did have the bad eggs pop in, but we were able to handle them. And I'm sure we can handle them again if we must. I won't be doing it right away, but it'll be under consideration.

hrm, we've had 2176 people sign up..so..n/m....
though the site reads - Members: 1,717 - cause banned members don't get counted

I was the 1067th person to register...you can check by the number of your user id, viewable in the link to your profile. (or goto the members page..but that's harder.. - http://forums.toonzone.net/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=1067

That number doesn't tell you what number person you were when you registered. It skips a few numbers here and there.

Don't think it's people who have been deleted. That's a lot of people to have been deleted then because the latest id number is 2100 something and I doubt that there have been 400 some people banned/deleted. I'm assuming that there's some techinical reason for the skipping.

That awesome that we've beaten the old record, and I thought it would be hard to beat! I was like, wow, no way we'll get that many people on at the same time again, guess I was wrong, yay! It's great that we're getting so many new peeps, it's always good to have new acquaintances.

Wow, that's pretty amazing... just a few months ago we were trying to get over 150 at a time... how things change...
