That's a good page! I will agree, the Tom and Jerry cartoons with Mammy are just funnier. I think it's because Tom has something to lose when she's around...there's a punishment for everything bad that he does. Spike is formidable enough, but not the same as a maid with a broom. I never found her terribly offensive, though. It seems like every time a censor sees a black person these days they just give it the axe and call it "politically incorrect" or "potentially offensive".

What is Mammy Messages? is that a message board? I clicked on it and had to go through a whole signing up with Tripod thing, only to be told that I had to e-mail you to gain access to Mammy Messages.

There were a few Disney cartoons where a maid similar to Mammy-Two-Shoes appeared, called Aunt Deliah. She appeared in the following:

"Three Orphan Kittens"
"More Kittens"
"Pantry Pirate" (with Pluto)
"Figaro and Cleo"

I'll have to add that to the filmography. Thanks!

That's okay, I had some fun with it.

Somebody left a comment saying "Background makes text very difficult to read". Okay, I've changed it, and I'll admit it, it was hard for me to read it too. But here's the thing that ticked me off. On that poll, someone rated my site "HORRIBLE!" Was that just for the background? If it was somebody here, I wish they would apologize, because that hurt my feelings. It took me over a month to do it....:(
