Well, 4Kids did say they were changing the name of the Fox Kids network...we dont know what it is yet, so I'm calling it Fox 4Kids for now...

Anyway! How do you think the new Ultraman series will be handled? After the many "power rangers imposters" who have come & gone, I'm sure 4Kids knows exactly what to & not to do. But, how do you think this Japanese classic will be handled?

My guess is that it'll probably be very PR-esque, but maybe more like Masked Rider(remember that?) I'm sure it'll just be on guy, in high school, with maybe a few other people who know, and some alien force coming down to destroy earth. What else can they do? Oh well. What do you guys think?

Also, what shows do you think will be on the network, next year? So far we have Ultraman, Kiku..something?, and Kirby. Those are the 3 big offerings from 4Kids. I sure do wish they'd make a Perfect Dark series...girls..guns..kicking butt...oh yes.
I'm sure Transformers will be apart of the schedual(unless Kids WB has their eye on it?). And since DiC has already been offered a portion of the block, think Alienators will be offered a second season? hahaha.

Well, I am the one who posted the article and listened to the conference call. They specifically said they WON'T call it Fox 4Kids because it didn't sound cool enough for kids.

Bah! Stupid kids these days don't know what they want. Back in my day, sure we had our thinly veiled toy commercials passing as cartoons. But at least they had plots! Remember that guy did that thing with that stuff? Yes sir Bob! Those were the days. Not like to day, which incidentally was quite similar to the summer of 1994 back when Fox kids was king of the airwaves. Of course that was noting compared to the blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah I have no life blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah someone shot me please blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah I like swords blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah zort blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah... *snore*

I really hope they will. That is a good show. I record it every Saturday. However, what are the chances? Other possiblities include, with 4Kids saying "forget it, kid", the show getting canned (if that's the case, i'll sure be lucky I recorded that show) or some cable network, like ABC Family picking it up (microscopic chances.)

I doubt "Alienators" will return. The block will be completely different, sporting a new name and a new look. So, you could say it's a completely different block. DIC will only provide 30 mins of FCC friendly programming. I doubt "Alienators" is educational.

You bring up a good point. The only possible way for Alienators to return is if some other network picks it up, which is impossible, considering they look at it as some "Real Ghostbusters" ripoff.

I'll sure be glad I recorded it.

LOL! Obviously you have NEVER seen Alienators before. It is possibly the MOST educational kids program on TV today. Aside from the constant alien bashing, & quarky jokes  , Alienators has A LOT of text-book scientific explanation & whatnot. Each episode, it seems the writers have found ways of sneaking in a plethora of educational info. Kinda scary, really. heh...

"Kinnikuman" is an anime based on a toy series from the 80`s... known in the U.S. as "M.U.S.C.L.E.S." (which supposedly stood for "millions of unusual small creatures lurking everywhere!) They`re basically pro wrestlers, but theres hundreds of them, and most of them are aliens, robots, and the occasionally downright abstract whatsit (I had one that was a hairy peanut with feet)

The toys, for those who dont remember, were little pink rubber guys an inch tall.

The version of the show coming to fox is a newer one, since the original show is almost 20 years old and would just fly past most of today`s children.

Oh, I had M.U.S.C.L.E.S back in the day, and that word is a chore to spell.

They used to duke it out with my Battle Beasts all the time. Of course my Battle Beasts won all the time too....

As for Ultraman... here's to hoping they do it right, with a bit of a Batman Beyond flavor to it. Or maybe just try and stick to the original plot would be fine too.

I mean, Masked Rider... when he wasn't out fighting monsters his supporting cast were a multi-racial family straight of some Different Strokes rip-off sitcom! Who the hell thought that would be a cool idea? Prolly the same pud who thought of Flabber, the Jay Leno vampire queen. :p

Well, I for one would prefer to see a Kamen Rider(aka Masked Rider) resurrection done right this time. Call in those cool cats Judd Lynn and Mackie who made Power Rangers worth watching again.

It's like I always say. Saban is the flip side of the Midas touch. Everything they touch turns to crap.(Although I did enjoy Samurai Pizza Cats)
