Hey all! How are my favorite fellow fan freaks?! Hmm? Well, put some ice on it, it'll be fine. Anyway! It's new Fresh Question time, so buckle up! Since we're taking Superman continuity and stretching it a bit, we just might be able to take this to our advantage:

What villain would you want to see in young form, meeting up with Clark "Superboy" Kent durring his Smallville years??

.....A few moments into that last new episode before "Leech" I thought I was gonna see some Parasite action. :p

It might be a little early for this, but I'd like to see Brainiac make an appearance. They could write a story similar to the STAS ep when Brainiac went back in time to kill Clark as a teen (the ep with Melissa Joan Hart as saturn Girl, I've forgotten the name of it)

I don't know about "in their teenage form", but I could see Darkseid make an appearence- make him see Kal-El as being his only threat and send his minions to kill Clark- kind of like the Master in the first season of Buffy or something.

Or maybe a punk kid named John Corbin might show up and cause trouble- the future Metallo.

Lex could start going out with a young Mercy Graves.

I think it's way too early to bring Darkseid in, but off the top of my head I think a Mxysptlk appearance would make for a good episode.

A pre-Livewire Leslie Willis as the school's near-dropout student working on the radio station more than her marks!

I'd love to see a younger Mercy Graves, that would be so awesome! It would seem weird to have her and Lex dating since she's his helper and all...but it might be interesting if she was like a gift from his father to him, maybe, maybe not. The ep with Braniac coming to the past to kill a young Clark Kent was called New Kids On The Block...but I'm not sure. That could be kind of neat to see as well.

Does anyone else remember that small box Clark's father showed him in the pilot? He said he found in Clark's spaceship. I'm waiting for them to mention it again. To answer the question of this thread - I think they could tie it into Braniac.

I'm surprised they haven't considered some sort of time thing where one of the villains from the future tries to kill him when he's younger and supposedly weaker.

All great choices! And best of all, none of them were Kryptonite powered teens! :p

I like the idea that someone from Kal's days as Superman would send some minions back in time to kill him when he's young. Or maybe even Kalabak tried to take him on a la Father's Day from STAS. And maybe he would be younger too, so they could have a good fight. Then we could get some forshadowing to Darkseid. Or maybe the Collecter guy from The Main Man could show up and try to take Clark away. But that would have to probably happen after he opened that stupid box and learned about his Kryptonian heritage  .

lol..at this stage of the game, clark running into darkseid would shorten up this series pretty quickly.

btw: i think the writers are still trying to get the dawsons creek crowds to warm up even more to the show. therefore, we'll probably keep getting alot more pretty looking teen guys and girls turned villans for a little bit more before we get guys looking like branicac and darkesied stepping in.

I'm hoping they don't touch Superman villains for AT LEAST 3 more seasons. Smaller cameos would be cool (I can't WAIT for the proposed Bruce Wayne appearance next season!), but there's an entire wealth of stories to be told with this show that don't include Superman villains. Let's have them tell more of those before they bring the actual supervillains.

Just my opinion.

It was New Kids in Town.

They should leave Bruce out of this!

I hope we don't get to see "real" supervillains for a while yet, if at all. If there's anyone I'd like to see is the guy that became Conduit, Kenny I think his name is. I was hoping for a Parasite story as well in "Leech", but ya can't have everything!!

I think they should at least have Bruce on SMALLVILLE... considering the original "prequel" idea was intended for a young Bruce Wayne.

I may be a bit biased, (pun intended) however I'd like to see Harvey Dent show up if not Bruce Wayne. I'd like to see Bruce show up, but Dent would be a subtler tie into the Batman universe. But given the time frame I'd think Bruce would be closer to Lex's age, and more apt to interact with Lex, BUT technically wouldn't he just be donning the cape around this time? (fuzzy math)
Anyway I can see Lex getting into trouble and calling Young Lawyer Dent ivy league chum for help!
Subtle is the way to go!
