Sweet work John!
Now the only thing that would make this sketch even better would be if I could be watching some Gargoyles episodes right now. :(

John, from now on you will only draw Gargoyles pics. Goliath looks great and it really does make me start to miss the show. When is Disney going to release all the episodes on DVD? Oh well, until that day comes I can just stare at this picture for a couple of hours a day. Thanks John.

Oh man, that Goliath is so great. I love the style to it, the same kinda style in all of John's sketches. This was a smart poll suggestion. Awesome work John!

Very cool sketch Mr. Delaney, I'm a huge Gargoyle fan, and I love the way you've drawn Goliath.
Wow, excellent "sketch" Mr. Delaney! You never cease to amaze.

Once again, can we get an animated version of WATCHMEN put on one of the future polls?
The Green Hornet

Guard,
how about a more specific character from WATCHMEN? Putting them all in one pick would be extremely taxing. Anywho - an awesome rendition of Goliath. I never realized how seemlessly Goliath could've fit into BTAS.

Indeed he could... a Goliath/Etrigan crossover would've been awesome ;)

Hot dawgies! I gotta admit, I never really watched "Gargoyles" (after the Freakazoid "Lawn Gnomes" parody I got the giggles every time I stumbled across it). So it really says something about John's sketch there that it makes me want to see the series -- anything that supports that kind of work makes me hungry.

Oh man, I'd love to draw the Watchmen's dynamic duo. Remember that flashback shot of the two of them standing in front of the owl ship about to beat on some bad guys? That made me long for a pre-Watchmen mini series.
Great suggestion!Send it to Harley!
John
P.S. Fastest Man Alive, I agree the Green Hornet would be awesome, I have the Van Williams and Bruce Lee figures in my studio.

Marvelous!!!
John, you should seriously do this for a living! :D
I used to watch Gargoyles for the few years it was on, and found the mythology in it extremely entertaining! Owen was Puck and Avalon housed the remaining Gargoyle eggs!!! I was such a geek that I even bought the Demona toy! Then again, she was such an awesome character! Hopefully she'll win one of these polls someday!
Even though I voted for Kara, I can't say I'm disappointed with the results! Happy 4th Day after Valentines! :p

I reall ylike the shading on the pocture. I remember a similair tactic was used on a Batman one-shot from 1996 (I think it was called "Dark Asylum" or something). A very cool technique and just an awesome picture.

Thanks Jim
I was trying to capture a kind of stone-like texture on the shading.
Glad you liked it

Once again brilliant work Mr Delaney!!! You've captured Goliath well in your sketch, and given it that nice bit of TNBA flavour. Awesome.

John--
Wow! You, sir, have done great justice to the best animated series Disney has ever made. Now if only THEY would do the same justice and release a DVD or two...

Amazing! Simply, without a doubt one of the best pieces you've enlightened us with. I was a huge fan of the show and think this captured Goliath in all of his unfettered glory. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule and doing this for us every week John.
Once again, an incredible piece of art there.
