Are most newspapers not carrying the November 30, 2007 and December 1, 2007 Get Fuzzy comic strip episodes because of the use of some swear or offensive word in the strips? The Chicago Tribune is one of them and replaced that days episodes with episodes from 2 years ago for November 30-December 1, 2007!

My local paper, The Columbus Dispatch, didn't censor it today. I talked to my roommate and he could understand why some newspapers decided not to carry the strip for those days.

Get Fuzzy has been no stranger to this before. The strip created controversy in the last few years with the Pittsburgh issue and insulting a sportscaster which lead to the sportscaster to file a lawsuit on Darb Conley, the creator of Get Fuzzy. Eventually Darb settled out of court. Still I enjoy reading Get Fuzzy and I can compare its humor to Pearls Before Swine.

Oh, I thought he actually said something. Every time this happens, it makes the newspapers look a lot worse than the cartoonists.

I'm guessing he continues this "combine two words to make a swear" schtick tomorrow.
