For me from ages 4 to 11.

Adora (She-Ra). (My first love!)
Teela (He-Man). (Fine legs and a firey redhead that stunsP
Cheetara (Thundercats). (What boy wouldn't fall for her beauty?)
Scarlett (G.I. Joe). (Redhead hottie! i thought she was hotter then Lady Jaye)
Glimmer (She-Ra). (Pink Haired goodness! wrapped up in a sexy package)
Catra (She-Ra). (Blue haired ponytail villain babe hottie that ranks there with Shego from Kim Possible)
Frosta (She-Ra). (Another blue haired hottie from the show! No wonder people voted her the hottest girl on She-Ra)
April O'Neil (Ninja Turtles). (A true test for every young boy's future oriention)
Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). (The most beautiful Disney princess in my opinion)
Ariel (Little Mermaid). (Cutie chick who's hotter when she's on land)
Jenny (Bucky O'Hare). (Foxy Kitty girl from outer space)
Fifi Le Fume (Tiny Toons). (Amazingly cute furry babe that no young man can't resist)
Sally Acorn (Sonic SatAM). (My favorite furry girl so far! walks nude all the time and has the body of a swimsuit model)

-Sally Acorn (Sonic SatAM)
-Felicia Hardy/Black Cat (Spider-Man: TAS)
-Blackarachnia (Beast Wars) *I hated what they did to her in Beast Machines though*

Of course this was when I was a kid, however they still remain some of my favorite characters today. I even use to have a crush on Lara Croft.

Well, I can't remember too many at the moment. But for a starter I used to like Jasmine from Aladdin when I was about 6 years old.:p

I can't believe no one's mentioned Velma from Scooby-Doo. She was a case study in repressed sexual desire. She was the complete opposite from Daphne. While Daphne was completely open and flaunted her goods, Velma's character forced you to look a little deeper. How many other Scooby-Doo fans will admit they were secretly pleased when Velma finally took off that sweater in the Scoby-Doo movie?

A modern equivalent of the Velma character would be Yomiko Readman from the Read Or Die series of books, manga, and anime.

i never had any attraction to them, i lack the imagination to be able to immagine what their body's looked like under all the "armor" they wore.

their personalities were also pretty boring, and their characers werent interesting.

For a while in my early "Pokémon" days, I had a crush on Jessie. In fact, I think I might have been one of the only fans at the time who preferred her instead of Misty.

EDITED so this won't just degenerate into yet another list thread.

I never had any crushes, animated or otherwise, as a kid. However, as an adult, there have been some animated females who have turned my head:

Nani from Lilo & Stitch-She's stunningly pretty, lives on the beach in Hawaii, and wears short shorts all the time. What's not to like?

Erin Esurance-I love her voice, the pink hair gives her an exotic quality and she fills out those black tights so nicely.

Kim Possible (as well as her mom, Mrs. Dr. Possible-I guess I have a thing for MILFs)

and of course, my current crush, Sarah Dubois from The Boondocks. So sweet, so lovely, so free-spiritedly liberal and such a babe-a-licious MILF.

http://www.theboondocksfiles.com/gallery2/d/139-2/The_Boondocks__Sarah_Dubois_by_DarkGX.jpg

If only Aaron MacGruder would feature her in more than 1 episode out of 6, dern it!

It's kinda wierd for anyone to have a crush on a fictional character, but so long as you acknowledge that she isn't real, and you try to find the traits in that character in someone in real life, than it's okay.
...I think.

Agreed. I'm not off my trolley (not completely, anyway); I know these are just fictional characters and they don't really exist, so there's no conceivable way that I could ever hope to 'get with' them, but if nothing else, they inspire me to look for their real-life equivalents.

I'm still looking for my Sarah.

Gadget from Rescue Rangers.

She's a very popular choice, actually.... I know quite the few fansites that are just for Gadget Hackwrench.

I can't really say I had too many crushes. I do think the 2k3 April O'Neil was better drawn than she should have been. And that belly shirt of hers adds to that effect. Especially how uggo the original April was. And I don't mean channel Six news April (Form fitting suit. Nuff said.), I'm refering to the ugly 1980's frizzy black haired comic book April. And the one that played her in the first movie wasn't that attractive either.

Acutally, that reminds me. I did kinda have a thing for Irma, maybe out of pitty, when I was 10. If she didn't dress like she was forever doing laundry, maybe her relationships would have gotten somewhere.

My first catoon crush was an animated host character for a programming block on a South African channel. That was back in elentrary school, and from what I've seen, she's no longer appears on the block.

My recent crush, is of Daria. A character who pretty much dealt with everything I had to in high school, has made me realized that I want a girlfriend, who's pretty much like her in real life, but I'd trade in her book smarts, for cartoon geekiness.

It's kinda wierd for anyone to have a crush on a fictional character, but so long as you acknowledge that she isn't real, and you try to find the traits in that character in someone in real life, than it's okay.

I can't remember much but I'd say that when I was pretty young (maybe younger than her) I had a mild crush on Penny from Inspector Gadget :o

The original character design one mind you. Something about that fluffy looking hair, outfit, her brain and bravery. Plus she had that cool watch :p

There's nothing wrong with being attracted to an animated character, as long as you remain sane enough to understand that you can never forge a meaningful relationship with a drawing, you should be OK.

I have to agree with Dr. Tooth: April O' Neil (from the 2003 FOX Ninja Turtles) is hot. I know that she's supposed to be around 25, but she dresses like she's 18-20, but since I enjoy looking at her, I won't file a complaint. April from the 2007 movie TMNT was hot also. The 1987 syndicated version of April with the brown hair and the yellow jump suit did nothing for me.

Some other crushes:

Ellen Yin (The Batman)- Asian hotness.

Lindsey Thorndyke, b.k.a., Chris's mom (Sonic X)- Now I know that everyone hates the human characters in Sonic X, but I actually looked forward to the episodes that Lindsey was in, as I found her to quite the MILF. A pity that she only appeared in about 2 of of 10 episodes.

Starfire (Teen Titans-the comic, that is, not the TV version-TV's Starfire seemed too young, loving her would be a crime for me). A babe from outer space with super powers. What's not to like?

I hate how she looks in the cartoon. Now if she looked like she did in the comics in the cartoon, and keep her naive nature, that would've been awesome.

Here's a few crushes on my favorite girl characters that I like when I was little:

Princess Adora/She-Ra(She-Ra) - She's my 1st crush when I was little when we first had She-Ra in one of our old videos a longtime.
M'Ress(Star Trek:TAS) - She's the 1st sexy catgirl I've saw in an oldies sci-fi cartoon with a sexy feline voice.
Cheetara(Thundercats) - She rocks as a cheetah girl for kicking butt.
Chilla(Thundercats) - I loved her the best out of all oldies evil chicks.
Princess Allura(Voltron) - She's the 1st sexy anime chick that I loved and she rocked for being part of the Voltron Force.
Dana Sterling(Robotech) - She's the 2nd sexy anime chick that I loved who can kick alien butt.
Gadget(Rescue Rangers) - She's my most favorite and has alot of fansites & fanart and she's scary when she's mad.
Splatter Phoneix(Darkwing Duck) - She's interesting for an evil painter chick who brings paintings to life to take over the world.
Bianca/The Bug Master(Darkwing Duck) - She's one cute reporter chick who becomes a sexy bug-themed supervillainess.
Annabelle(Eek! the Cat) - She may be fat, but she's cute & funny for being the damsel in distress.
Rosie(DogCity) - She's the 1st dog girl that I loved which I missed the cartoon from Foxkids Saturday mornings.
Princess Sally(SatAM Sonic the Hedgehog) - She rocks in both the comics & series which I love her the most.
Agent Honeydue(Dexter's Laboratory - Monkey episodes) - She's one sexy girl agent who can kick butt which she's got my vote.
Jayna(one of the Wonder Twins from Superfriends) - I loved her which she rocks with her becoming animals to save the day.
Amy(Futurama) - She's sexy for a clumsy Asian chick & a good wrestler against Leela who always bashed by her.
Queen Tyr'ahnee(Duck Dodgers) - She's my most favorite of my crushes who's one sexy alien ruler of the Martian Empire & a skilled fighter.
Lum(Urusei Yatsura) - She's one sexy alien girl who's interesting/hilarious with her alien powers/instincts when I first saw her in her 2nd movie:Beautiful Dreamer on Sci-fi channel.
Ryoko(Tenchi Muyo!) - She's hot/sexy and the best of all the Tenchi girls for being the bad-tempered,obnoxious,flirty space pirate/demon.
Nico Robin(One Piece) - In my teenage hood, when I first saw her, she's the best/sexy chick with weird freaky Devil Fruit powers.

...did you two not read the post about not just doing lists?

Anyway:

April O'Neil (80's version): I have a thing for redheads.
Eliza Maza: Easily the sexiest animated character ever.
Ellen Yin: Kinda reminded me of Eliza Maza... she even favored the same red jackets over black shirts.
Amy Wong: The cuteness combined with the clumsyness combined with the foul, foul mouth.
Sarah DuBois: Somehow she's about ten times hotter on TV than she was in the comic strip.
Shrinking Violet: She's just plain adorable.
Charmcaster: Love the bad girls.

Whoa, almost everybody have at least one furry crush, uh?...

Anyway, I think that all the women from Filmations cartoons were the true proof that a 2d drawing could be considered atractive and a detonator of the puberty......

-She-ra, Ming´s daughter, Adora, Futura, Teela, etc-

Fred Jones (Scooby Doo)- Obvious huh? I've had a crush on him since I can remember. Not only is he really good looking, but he's really kind (not the jerk that was portrayed in the live action movies), brave, and smart, but also willing to goof off every now and again (in the newer series anyway). A sadly underrated character.

Edit: Didn't realize this was an "as a kid thread...". Well, the first one still stands at least.

There were some others that I liked as a kid.

A weird topic, but here goes...

Jessica Rabbit (Who Framed Roger Rabbit) - Sexy, mysterious, and not to mention a killer body. I can't tell you how many times I rewinded her parts in the movie.

Cleo (Heathcliff and the Catallac Cats) - One of my earlier crushes as a kid. Yeah I know she's a cat but hey she was hot (and still is). She was also pretty witty and wasn't afraid to back down either.

Princess Jasmine (Aladdin) - Strong and independent yet sexy. One of the few Disney princesses that actually had a personality IMO.

Daphne (Scooby Doo) - More of a mild crush as a kid but she's a cutie.

Teela (He-Man) - Great legs and body plus she could mix it up with the best of them.

Max Goof and Eric from D&D are high on the list too.

Michaelangelo (TMNT) - I must've been 8 or 9. I don't know why, but I thought he was cool!

I remember having a crush on Princess What's Her Name on Earthworm Jim years ago, and at around the same time Rogue from the X-Men cartoon. Although technically not a cartoon character, I was also really fond of Felicia from Darkstalkers - I guess I had a thing for girls with big hair!:D

DrTooth

Not so much as a kid, but I feel that Velma from Scooby Doo is pretty much the girl for me. Well, something similar to her. Plus the way that actress played her in the 2 live action movies... that really made the character hot for me.

I also have to say Natasha Fatale has a nice dark sexy James Bond villianess feel to her. That's alvays a plus, Dahlink.

Manhunter
11-30-2007, 06:40 PM
Let's see:

-Firestar (Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends)-too hot (I know, that was bad)
-Diana (Dungeons and Dragons): I think it was the fur bikini.
-Scarlett/Lady Jaye/Baroness (G.I. Joe)-tough, smart, sexy

I can't for the life of me understand how anyone would have a crush on an American cartoon character. They have zero sex appeal whatsoever. Even some of the more typically "pretty" ones like Ariel or Jasmine are still very "cartoony" looking.

Anime, on the other hand - well lets just say that Japan doesn't have an entire industry's worth of animated porn for no reason. Also, there's Rei Ayanami.

Rei? Sure, I get interested in a clone who's entire purpose in life is to bring about Armageddon. Every guy secretly dreams of a chick who will kill him and all of mankind. :p

I'd be more into Armitage than Rei.

Anubis C. Soundwave
12-03-2007, 01:11 AM
When I was younger, one of the first cartoon males I liked was COPS' Bulletproof Vest. :D

The next one was an anthro cat I "met" in my teens, Commander Feral from SWAT Kats. Something about his rolled-up sleeves and his muscular arms. That, and the simple fact that he doesn't give up.

Then a rediscovery of Soundwave(G1 Transformers, during the Generation 2 replay) in 1994--he was intriguing, and I wanted to know more about him.

Followed by Anubis(Shutendouji) from Ronin Warriors(Yoroiden Samurai Troopers).[sucker for redheaded males.... Also, his transition from bad guy to good didn't jar.] I even liked Nephrite on Sailor Moon; he was a jerk, but he was an interesting jerk.

If they did a "where are they now" special on Yu Yu Hakusho, I'd say Kuwabara(except that his heart would belong to Yukina, IMO). He had a beautiful complexion and the nicest cheekbones--in addition to his great personality. Since the show was made in 1992(in Japan), he'd be in his late twenties. Otherwise, his being a teenager is unavoidable. I have nephews older than some of the charas on my list(never mind the species issues).

Rounding them off: Kento of Hardrock(Fuan Rei Shuu/Kongou), the strong and funny guy, Shere Khan(Tale Spin version) and Launchpad McQuack. One's an anthro tiger in full and calm command(even when he plays dirty), the other's a muscular redheaded duck/pelican pilot with a deep yet humble sense of heroism.

A recent handsome guy I liked(as a younger adult) was Roger Smith and his smexy bed-hair. He and Big O are the reasons I watched Big O; so Konaka and his team @ SUNRISE did their jobs.

Another interesting individual would be Seto Kaiba. The fact that he's basically a cute and ridiculously wealthy uber-nerd intrigues me. All that wealth and power, and all he wants to do is play a souped-up version of Magic: the Gathering--and he'll take over part of Tokyo(Domino) to do it. Quirky, yet cool.(if only he hadn't given Yugi's grandfather a heart attack during his first(2nd season/Duel Monsters) episode.) He's in his mid-20s now(note YGO-GX).

Honorable mentions go to Hector "Shipwreck" Delgado(80's version; lovable, nutty rogue), Luigi Mario(always my go to guy in games), Slingshot(the interesting G1 Aerialbot) and SatAM Sonic(due to Jaleel White doing a terrific job voicing the chara on that show. Him and his chili dogs.... :anime:) Leader One and Turbo are also likable in their own unique ways. Devastator(G1) wins simply for being...DEVASTATOR. He was my favorite TF gestalt. Oddly enough, I liked Omega Supreme(G1) as well. Optimus Prime(G1) is on the list because he really is just Prime. (yes, I know....)

With a little more work(and about a decade of aging), Dash Baxter(Danny Phantom infamy) might even approach the HM list. (he's a royal jerk--although not the energon/energy stealing for Megatron/Queen Beryl kind--but he has his moments. :))

Ken Ichijouji and Daisuke(Davis) Motomiya can't make the list because they(like Dash) are still young brats. Cute Asian boys, but mere boys.

= = =

On an off-topic live action note, I always thought Johnny Yong Bosch was cute--back when he was Adam, the second Black Ranger during Zordon-era MMPR. It was that curly, silky black hair; I tell you! And nice cheekbones. :D

No, not really. At least not compared to their American counterparts. The fact is that character designers very often give anime girls a much more well defined body shape, proportions, and features, for the intended purpose of creating sex appeal (even in the more innocent shows - like Misty/Jessie/May in Pokemon).

Rei? Sure, I get interested in a clone who's entire purpose in life is to bring about Armageddon. Every guy secretly dreams of a chick who will kill him and all of mankind.

-Fawn Deer from Raw Toonage and Bonkers. I know this heads into furry territory, but hey. I liked what I liked. She was cute and nice. That's all I really remember about her character.

-Bunnie Rabbot from Sonic SatAM. Uh oh. Another furry. Well, another cute one. Also she could kick ass and had that robot arm dealy. Also the accent was a plus.

-Serena (or Usagi) from Sailor Moon. I think this was the longest lasting cartoon crush. You know, she was a clumsy one, but I think that's why I liked her. Lots of personality. Serena was a big one for me, because Sailor Moon was my first anime experience. Back in 5th grade, I first saw it and thought, "HAHA this is Japanese. It's drawn and animated weird." Then I convinced myself that I was watching it to make fun of it, but really I kept getting drawn in more and more by the story. What a great story.

I also had a crush on Sailor Mercury (I loved the short blue hair and smartness) and Sailor Venus (just because she's hot).

-Akane from Ranma 1/2. She IS cute. I don't give a **** what Ranma says! I love strong chicks. LOVE THEM. Akane's greatest traits are her imperfections, in my humble opinion.

-Videl from Dragonball Z. Another strong chick. The short hair is a plus.

-Spike from Cowboy Bebop. He's got quite a body on him. Also that fluffy, messy hair is funny and at the same time sexy. His attitude is the greatest thing about him. Just like "whatever." Super calm, confident, mysterious. Also he smokes a trillion cigarettes a day and somehow he can still kick ass.

http://images.minitokyo.net:8001/view/109651.jpg
-Guts from Berserk. The man. Like. Seriously. The man. Everyone who's seen or read Berserk knows exactly what I mean. And every time you explain it, you just sound like a little kid. "HOLY CRAP HE'S SO STRONG AND HE'S GOT A BIG SWORD LOTS OF MUSCLES AND COOL ARMOR AND HE KILLS A LOT OF DUDES!!" He's honestly the most beautifuly character I've ever come across. Touched my life. There's different versions of Guts and each one is fascinating and very real. The latest incarnation of Guts is particularly inspiring. He's got the white streak in his hair, he's all scarred up from the Berserk armor, and he's just a great person. Doing his best to keep his head together and look out for his buddies. I love when Guts and Schierke have their moments. That little witch looks up to him like crazy and he's like the ultimate big brother or father figure. I could go on and on. Guts is the best.

You do realize that it’s possible for people to actually be attracted to somebody for reasons other than their appearance, right? I just wanted to make sure that we’re on the same page, as contrary to popular culture, most people aren’t sex obsessed loons. People here who are talking about their first crushes aren’t necessarily saying they want to make babies with all of these characters.

Personality can entice people to be attracted to a character more than physical appearance can. American cartoon characters may not have the “sex appeal” that you described, but they’re just as capable of making people develop a crush on them.

Juvenile crushes, eh? Showing my age again, but this one is too easy. I only had one, and it wasn't until I was in high school. Let me drop a couple of hints:

1. She gave me a reason to wake up early on Saturday mornings in the late 70's, while I was in high school.

2. Much maligned by critics in recent years for no good reason, but still super hot.

3. Spacey. Real spacey.;)

Of course, it adds up to Jayna. After seeing Radical's list, I realize now I'm not the only one who finds her hot.

I think the closest thing I've come to having a crush on a cartoon/anime character was my infatuation with Zelgadiss from Slayers. I mean...he's kinda scary looking but...wow. He's just so cool! If he were human he'd be hot. Seriously ^_^

Yeah. Other than that...no crushes XD

Heh, the only really MAJOR crush I remember having as a kid was Gadget from Rescue Rangers.

I also later on had smaller crushes on Rogue from X-Men & Lady Kayura from Ronin Warriors...both are still to this day are my favorite female animated charaters.

I have, at one point or another, crushed on . . .

Felicia Hardy/Black Cat (90's Spider-man)

Batgirl (90's Batman)

Sora (Digimon)

Misty (Pokemon)

April O'Neil (Original TMNT)

Teela (He-man 2002)

Allenby (G-Gundam)

and the absolute final one: Keiko (Yuyu Hakusho)

I'm pretty lame, crushing on characters into my teens.

I'm talking about the blonde hacker from COPS.

Though Dot and AndrAIa WERE well-designed... ;)

Oh never watched that show :p sorry:sweat:.

I dunno why but something about AndrAIa made her less appealing to me... I think her skimpy clothes made her look...elongated  too much skin showing for no reason.

Another random crush from my teenage years would be the evil Demona from Gargoyles. In both her form. I have this thing for blue skinned chick...
(dates back to reading Yoko Tsuno as a kid I believe)

...and redheads. Combining the two together was just too much for me XD off course she would probably kill me. Her daughter is nice too but...not quite as hot as Demona (or Eliza, heck even Fox!).

There's only one cartoon character I ever had a crush on and that's Heero Yuy, of Gundam Wing fame. Sigh....

Yeah, I know, me and every other girl who watched anime in middle school. Back then, Heero was hot stuff, lemme tell ya.

Its obvious she was designed with seduction in mind XD I do wonder what the creator of those characters we crush on feel about it :p

I liked Jerrica from JEM and the holograms but not JEM. I don't know what that says about me. Oh, and the main chick from Galaxy High. You know, she kind of has a punky or at least Pat Benatar look, from Googling in retrospect.

Daphne and Velma from Scooby-Doo and also the Teen Angels (from Captain Caveman), particularly Dee Dee, even though Taffy was the most popular.
