While this guy never got his own cartoon, does anyone know if he made any appearances in any other animated Marvel series?

I think it's about time this little dude gets some respect and maybe should star in the new Spider-Man cartoon as a guest.

Have anyone seen his movie? Long after I saw the movie I learned about his comics, I was shoced to learn he's a Marvel creation, at least Mr. Duck doesn't smoke in the film.
This Jr. should have his (it's) own animated feature

I think the main reason is because Howard the Duck has more adult humor than a normal Marvel series.
However, I think it would be a PERFECT show for Adult Swim, except I'd want it to have an actual budget.

Howard the Duck did appear in X-Men: TAS. Beast wore a shirt with his likeness in "Beauty and the Beast."

Been ages since I saw the movie, but from what I recall it wasn't that great. The comics had all these great parodies and satiric humour which the movie was lacking. I also think it would've worked better if Howard was a animated character in a live-action universe like Roger Rabbit instead of a guy in a duck suit.

Howard the Duck was given a chapter in the book The Worst Movies Ever, to give you an idea how 'quality' the film was.

One of the few:p. I was always under the impression that the movie killed off the comic character's marketability. Anyway He's was never a well known character back then, and he almost non existant now. I doubt we'll ever see him in any shows outside of being a t shirt.

That show would seem like every other show on the block.

So even the earlier comics were adult? Or they just had more sophisticated humor?

I liked it, too. Howard was appropriately sarcastic and had good chemistry with Tim Robbin's character. Jeffrey Jones was hilarious after he became a Dark Overlord! I think a lot of people (at the time) didn't get it because Howard is not cute nor "dethpicable".
As for Howard animated, yeah, I'd try watching it. Why not? Though I agree that it should be Adult Swim or a similar late-night venue.

Howard was the Simpsons of his time.. I could see Fox airing a TV show, paired with all the other stuff... they already have a talking dog on family guy, a talking alien on the other show, so why not a duck?
