I've heard that Marvel recently revealed Wolverines orgin and that his names not even Logan. I was wondering if anyone read the issue or could give me some details on his orgin.

It's happening in a series called Origin, and it's only on issue #4 of 6. There will almost definately be a trade soon after the last issue ships (when that will be, however, is another story, as the book is incredibly late as is).

At first I really liked Origin...
Yes his name is not Logan, but Logan was the name of his first kill. Seeking refuge from mutant hatters he took off and used the alias Logan. The reason I don't really like the book is I find it is moving to slow. We are already at issue 4 with two issues left, and they are nowhere near the adamatium exoskeleton part. I don't think they will even touch base with it. I think it is deffinatelly open for a sequel.

Actually, I've been really enjoying the series and the pace. It's a nice change from the mediocre WOLVERINE ongoing series, and a nice twist on the character. Plus his name is James - can' go wrong, there :). I think issue #5 will be out in late February, with issue #6 out at the beginning of April. I think that's what's gonna happen. I'm not sure how it will end, especially if Wolverine supposedly fought in the Civil War as well as WW1. I wonder if they will include that, or wipe those off as memory implants, which I hope they do.

I'm almost positive they won't go near Wolverine in the Weapon X program, because that was already covered in Barry Windsor Smith's Weapon X (it originally appeared in the first 18 or so issues of Marvel Comics Presents, but is now a trade paperback, and I've seen them all over the place). I think Jenkins is going for all new territory, not trying to tread on stories that have already been told.

Wolverine's real full name is James Howlett. Pretty cool.

I'm loving the book so far. An actual story that is not rushed and full of worthless fights. With out a doubt it lived up to it's hype.
About his memories of WWI WWII and such. This is marvel. They saw the cash cow come dancing into their office with this book. Unfortunately I believe they will keep cranking out more and more books about wolvies past now. If the quality was the same I wouldn't mind but just about every follow up mini-series is substandard to it's parent book.

Am I the only one picking up a Victor Creed like Vibe from the cook at that camp?
I'm really enjoying this, even though I've only been able to read it as Dotcomics.

Ditto to that.
Was wondering if anyone else's copy of the first book said 1 of 4 and now it says running to 6 issues. What's the deal with that? Love the art, great color use, wicked twists, it's a nice series, seems to mesh nicely with the Persona of Logan I've got in my head.

It was always advertised as a 6 issue series. That is, if the last two issues every come out.

I swear on all that is holy that my first 2 issues say "1 of 4" and "2 of 4" respectively! My brothers and I had this long drawn out argument over it, and now I am even more confused.
No matter, all that counts is that I was right, and given I can't remember what side of the argument i was on, I am undoubtably right.
Anyhow, great book, everyone even conscious of who Wolverine is should read it.
