Acording to Reuters, New Zealand actor Kevin Smith passed away this past Friday, due to head injuries sustained while filming in Beijing. This Kevin Smith was best known for his portrayal of Ares, in both Hercules the Legendary Journies & it's Spin Off Xena Warrior Princess (and if memory serves, he also played the role on the Fox Kids series Young Hercules)

Kevin Smith comic book fan, Indie Film director is just fine.

Dude, you're gonna create a panic with that title! Maybe it should be edited to add NOT THE DIRECTOR!

he was a decent actor, i loved him in Young Hercules...

awww. this is so sad. argh. it seemed llike he would never die this soon! ='( ='(

I loved Ares! He was one of my favorite characters on both Hercules and Xena. Kevin Smith was so cool as Ares.

I loved him in "Xena". He had an amazing singing voice as well as being a great actor, and not to mention very attractive.

The article says he was going to shoot a Bruce Willis movie next. Damn shame.

Yeah, bad call. Great pity - he was a good actor and I believe going on to work in some major movies.

From what I've heard from people who worked closely with him, he was a fun guy and great to be around..
