Marathon mode is in full effect next week, although the schedule doesn't look bad on Thursday and Friday. It's nice to see the Christmas schedule for Friday, looks like some good stuff there. And a Looney Tunes sighting is always good, even if it's the new stuff.:)

Hmm, more Edx3 is always nice(even if I am at school...), and I never get tired of "A Johnny Bravo Christmas", and I've still yet to see "'Twas the Fight Before Christmas". Nice sched!

It's probably just because its thanksgiving week. Some schools have the whole week off, so it should go back to normal next week.

Marathons much?

Cool to see Scooby Doo, Where Are You! and What's New Scooby Doo getting (near) prime spots.

The continuous repeats of these shows sicken me. Could they, CN, could have waited until December 1st for all of this Christmas stuff?!! geez, what is up with the Mega Ben 10 Overload???!!!! I know people love the show, but gosh, this is terrible. If the kids want Ben 10 so bad, they should buy the DVD Season Sets. THAT should make those little buggers happy!!

It's the day before Thanksgiving. A lot of people spend that day going over to relatives to spend the next couple of days there, or have their relatives starting to come in to town.

I don't thin a marathon on a day a lot of people wouldn't even be watching TV really hurts all that much.

With people spending time with family, they, the kids, are not going to care for this. On Black Friday, they'll probably going to be with their families, not in the house watching stuff that they know that they've seen 15,000 times before.

The thing is, kids will watch episodes they seen before many times. Spongebob is an example of this.

True, but would they object to a more diverse schedule?

It's Thanksgiving week. I don't see the marathons as being out of place. The schedule will return back to normal the following week.

I understand you want a diverse schedule. So do I, but are you that against marathons that networks shouldn't do it?

If they would just restrict them for holidays and weekends it wouldn't be a problem. Even then they could experiment with them and try using shows that haven't been on the network for awhile. I don't see what they have to lose. I mean when the New Coke failed, it only made the original Coca Cola more successful right?

And you didn't answer my question, would kids object to a diverse schedule? Has it been proven?

I don't think they would object, but then, they aren't objecting to a non-diverse schedule either. They'll watch anything. If kids don't want a diverse schedule, then should the network just ignore it?

They haven't tried a diverse schedule in a long time, so how can they be sure they'll object. And I seriously doubt any viewer would object to more shows VS small amount of shows airing constantly. To say something would fail without trying it only shows ignorance, not intelligence.

Do you know anyone who dislikes variety with entertainment? Yeah, nearly everyone likes marathons, but I doubt anyone would say "I hate variety. Redundancy rules".

And their ratings, btw, were higher when they had more shows as opposed to now. Using the New Coke analogy: They try a schedule with more shows, they'll get better ratings. If not it would only help to get their current schedule get more rating.

I have the first two season boxsets, and if I get the chance to, I'll still watch the Ben 10 marathon. It's only occurring to promote the new movie anyway.

She speaks Spanish as a first language and English as a second. Some of the words are going to be mixed up like that, due to the complexity of English compared to Spanish.

In Spanish, "November twenty-fifth" would be "el veinticinco[25] de Noviembre," or literally "The twenty-fifth of November," which is where she got 25/11, as opposed to what we're used to, 11/25.

CN's Friday Schedule gets better ratings than Nick's Friday Schedule.

That's pretty doubtful, seeing as how CN has beat Nick about once in the last two years or so.

But we'll see, I guess. Ratings should come out for those days early next week.

I think the answer to that is Nick will beat CN on both days. Personally, I just hope that CN's average is higher from Wednesday-Sunday that when it normally is.

So, why do you want CN's Friday's schedule to win and not also Thursday?

D Dubbs

So, why do you want CN's Friday's schedule to win and not also Thursday?

Because he's hoping the schedule with more variety will win out. If you look at Thursday's, there's a total of four different shows airing, while on Friday, there's about twenty different programs/specials.

I'll say one thing, I was definitely NOT watching CN AT ALL yesterday...because of classics on Nickelodeon.

Quite the opposite for me. I was going to try and wake up to see some of the first episodes for R&S, Doug and others, but I couldn't wake up on time.:(

Most of the day, I was watching football. Then I watched the Tom and Jerry: A Nutcracker Tail at 7, the new Foster's episode at 8 and Tom and Jerry at 10:30. Mainly because it's been a very long time that a classic cartoon aired that late on CN.

Exactly. And maybe if Nick's Thursday does the best in ratings, it might inspire them to copying Nick by trying for a marathon of all of their past programs (Those that they have complete legal rights to air of course).

Okay, but what if Nick's Friday wins? Then does that also mean marathons also work as well?

If the marathon days win, then unfortunately CN will continue with the marathons as well.

I just fail to see why both networks don't give their audience a direct choice between more shows VS more airing of the same shows on their website. Yeah I can see some appeal of marathon, but I believe if viewers were given the choice in a more direct fashion, they'd vote for variety.

I'm not really against marathons if they are done in moderation and use shows that haven't been aired in awhile. Let me explain my stance with this analogy. Think of television programming as food. marathons are like buffets in where you get more of the same than usual.

Buffets are nice if they're every now and then, but they lose appeal if you have them nearly every day.

As for the tv programming equals food. You have a favorite food item correct? Even so, wouldn't you get tired of having that same specific food item every hour of everyday without the option for something different?

Nick's friday will win no doubt....what with an all-day Spongebob marathon with Atlantis Squarepantis and 4 new episodes.

I luckily got up at 5AM yesterday and got to enjoy many classics. My favorite was the Ren & Stimpy pilot, closely followed by Doug Bags a Neematoad.

Can't say I hate all the Ben 10 and such marathons as it increases your chances of getting your favorite episodes ( aka 'Lucky Girl') recorded, but I'm wondering where's the promotion for the KND finalie, and WHERE are the last half dozen episodes of Code Lyoko???

I don't mind waiting a few weeks and then finishing the series up, but if I have to wait months until they choose to wrap up the airings of CL I'm going to be more than a bit miffed.
