Yes!

It's a great show!

I'd love to see more obvious connections between JL and the previous shows, especially learning what happened post-Legacy. But that's supposedly going to come about in season 2. So I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I think that all four TV shows (and their corresponding movies) should be a package deal -- one continuous, self-contained universe. Like this, in chronological order --

Batman: The Animated Series --> The Batman/Superman Adventures --> Justice League --> Batman Beyond

You could tell by the Batman episodes of Batman/Superman (primarily "Old Wounds" and "Beware The Creeper") that Batman/Superman was a direct continuation of Batman: The Animated Series. Now, all we need is for Justice League to fill in the few remaining gaps, and it'll be complete.

Having all four TV shows work together as a package deal does more good than just pleasing us fanboys :) -- it also gives Warner Bros. the ability to sell the rights to air all four TV shows as a package deal. (I hope all four TV shows stay on Toonami though. Well, I hope Justice League becomes part of Toonami some day. :) ) And, if a person discovers they like one of the four TV shows, they can be told "Well, if you like this... try these other three TV shows!" Finally, having all four TV shows as a package deal leaves open the possibility for Timm & Co. to keep working on this version of the DC Universe for a long time to come. (How about a Green Lantern series some day? Or a Justice League Beyond series? :D ) In other words, Timm & Co. would get job security from doing this too.

Enough ranting for now :)... I have the urge for a Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich Combo and a Large Frosty... um, Frosty... :)

I am one to think that Batman Beyond is only a possible future with ties to the actual present. I don't want it to be totally isolated, but there's no reason we ever have to see a definite, in-continuity transformation from JL to BB. The stories are still good on BB and, as far as the show itself is concerned, everything is happening for real.

But there's no real to make it part of the actual timeline.

I hope I'm being clear, because I know I sound incredibly contradicting.

I want the events of "Legacy" explored in season 2. It's just too good to be forgotten.

It was reported that Bruce Timm said that in season 2 of JL they will be going over the events of Legacy and what happened after.

I think so, and I think there will be. As the series progresses, and as BTAS and STAS get more airtime on CN, we'll see little hints and info bits dropped here and there. But it'll likely be done so it won't confuse JL-only fans but at the same time please us old school fans.

Well they could always just do what they did in "The Call", rather than confuse non Superman: TAS fans with some references to "The Main Man" the crew just created a brand new flashback using Batman Beyond's animation style.

That way everyone wins. Long time fans are happy because we get references to previous shows, and new fans won't be confused and wondering what the hell is going on.

Really it shouldn't be that hard to reference "Legacy". Just have Darkseid show up, Superman gets pissed and then Batman or Superman (or possibly Flash) give a nice two minute monologue in which we get the events of "Legacy" from their point of view in order to explain to the other confused members of the JL (and confused minority of the audience) as to what's going on.

Clark J. Kent, you're not the only one who sees Batman Beyond as a possible future..not the one I'd imagine that's for sure!

Still, Legacy is hugely important to the joining of the four shows, as is the whole Kyle Raynor issue, which could easily be resolved! I think once Timm and co. are done writing straight-forward action stories, they'll start having to get creative..and these eps are the way to go!

Sure I'd like to see all the post legacy stuff explored a little, but I really would like to see the whole GL thing worked out. I just recently downloaded "In Brightest Day" and was able to see it again for the first time since JL came out. I thought Kyle was awesome and I'd definately like to see him again even if he's not a green lantern anymore.

I like Batman Beyond but I only see it as a possible future. I do think it would be fun to have elements of Batman Beyond's back story play a role in the Animated DC Universe.

Possible Spoilers

One idea would be to have Robin's kidnapping take place but Batman and Batgirl rescued him before the Joker completed his experimentations. Then at some point a Joker-like villain pops up somewhere and Robin investigates not knowing that he's investigating himself until too late. Or have a 20-something Sam Young enter into the life of Barbara Gordon creating a love triangle with Dick and/or Bruce (I never bought Bruce as anything more than a girlish crush, if that). Veronica Verland's (sp) wedding turning into one crazy nightmare. A seventeen year old Robin meets seventeen year old Terry who can't believe his eyes since he thought he knew what happenned to Tim at around age 14.

The storyline possiblities are much more open with Batman Beyond being a possible future then having Batman Beyond being the future since it limits the possibilities since we know that certain things WILL happen.

I do hope Leagcy gets mentioned at some point and the Green Lantern contradiction is easily explained away in a couple of ways. While we shouldn't be hit over the head with continuity, we should be aware of the connection between the shows.

One question that I want answered is where did Diana's costume comes from.

I've enjoyed all the series' so far and I think they have done a good job on all shows. One thing though that I must mention is the fact that at least to me Batman Beyond is the equivalent of a DC Comics Elseworlds story. At least that how I view the show. I view it as an interesting "what if" future but I do not believe it to be "THE" future of Batman the JLA (or JLU as they are called in Batman Beyond) or the future of any character. I believe their future is unwritten. I would like their to be a little continuity but like I've read in a Bruce Timm interview, I don't think they should hold back on a story just because it doesn't fit into continuity of what happened in another show. I think they should keep continuity light on the shows and maybe mention or have some of the consequences from other shows but it shouldn't become a huge deal. Thats my opinion anyway.

I am still wondering if they will explain how Lex Luthor went from being a corporate tycoon with major influence to a insane ex-con that runs the Injustice Gang during the "Injustice For All" episode.

Yep, the series' creators have said that the episode will explain how Luthor made villiany a full-time gig. For me, that'll be the most interesting part of the episode.
