Such an amazing episode. The perfect case to send Sara off on, if only because it brings back the one bad guy who Sara had the hardest time dealing with, and the characters of Hannah & Marlon West are used very effectively.

The episode really shows how much the job of CSI has gotten to Sara, and her treatment of Hannah West really illustrated this well. After Hannah does what she can to get to Sara, Sara's treatment of Hannah at the end after her brother hanged himself in his cell really illustrated how much Sara hurts and how painful the job has become. Jorja played that scene with the right amount of hatred for what's happened with an equal balance of smugness towards Hannah West.

The ending scene was probably the best. After Sara removes her name from the vest, and leaves it for Ronnie, her exit was done right. Some would argue that the most powerful scene was when we finally saw her & Grissom kiss right before she makes her exit... I would have to argue that it's the shot of Sara's name badge just sitting in the garbage before we see Grissom read the letter and watch Sara drive off into the Las Vegas night. Sara may have some ghosts she needs to deal with, but she's throwing it all away in hopes to find a better life... even though she said she had one with Grissom. Clearly, Sara's got some major issues going on in her head and she probably won't set foot into Vegas again for quite sometime..

And also, kudos to the CSI staff for not sending her the way of Tim Speedle and Aiden Burn. True, Aiden didn't actually die until the end of Season 2... but I don't see the character of Sara dying for quite a while. I'm sure Sara, in all her grumpiness, will be back at some point in the future.

Now to see how everyone reacts to her leaving...
