I've noticed that there is a lot of mixed feelings on this board about Family Guy. It seems we're all about 50-50 on who hates or loves Family Guy. So, lets poll it, & have a discussion.
I hate it, for one. It's unoriginal, & often boring. I dont wish to reward a show which steals idea's from everyone else. :D

I really like Family Guy and don't understand why some people think it's unoriginal and steals ideas. Perhaps you could elaborate.

Lots of shows steal ideas.....it's the way the tv world works! IMO, Family Guy is funny, in a stupid, weird way. And I know that my bro loves this show and will definately miss it when it's gone....... :)

I don't understand why Fox is cancelled it. FG has been funnier and more entertaining than The Simpsons the last two seasons. I would like to know why everyone think that fg steals ideas from other shows.

I voted "Love it", but i don't really "love it". I like it, but "love" may be a too strong word ;) .
I think it's funny, and a good way to spend some time. I also think that sometimes it can get out of hand and ends up stupid. But on the whole, i like this show :D .

FG doesn't steal ideas.. why does everyone keep saying that?
If you mean plot elements, EVERY SITCOM IN AMERICA STEALS PLOT ELEMENTS.
You have to have some semblence of sanity when you piece together events in a sitcom, before you can go nutty. FG does have a few plot situations that are similar to other shows(being forced to take care of an old lady and then liking her, for example), but when it comes to humor, dialogue, and references, no show can top Family Guy.

Family Guy steals ideas?! Geez, I guess that excuse is better than just curling you hair round your finger, tilting your head to the side, and saying "I don't get it." :p Seriously, though, if your only gripe is that it's "unoriginal", name a show that is totally original. There are few... Seinfeld was to a point, but even some of their stuff was "borrowed", so you see boys and girls, it happens everywhere. And we, the viewers, still lap it up...

I really don't understand why everybody who likes Family Guy is coming out of the wood work now? Where were you all when I was trying to defend the show when all the anti Family Guy threads got started while the show was actually on and in production?????
