The exodus of Power Rangers Time Force (http://www.rangercentral.com/data-prtf.htm) was met with alot of sadness.
It had good strong actors, even for a Power Ranger series and a great build up to a climactic ending. There's a rumoured OAV coming, but the fans can only hope.
With the battles of Jen, Wes, and Eric having come to and end came....
Power Rangers Wild Force which is being met with mixed fan reviews. Some love it, other hate it.
I'm somewhere in the middle.
It hasn't proven itself yet, but there are some things that're showing potential.
Biggest difference came this series with the changing of the writers. Two guys named Judd Lynn and Mackie had been writing the series since Turbo and are the ones who made the show even better that what came previous and made the show worth watching again!
The name of the new head story editor escapes me, but he's reported to be a guy who once ran the uber PR site Power Rangers Online. Has he own line of Power Ranger fanfics and is one of us, so things look hopeful.
So far tho, there's not much to speak of.... Main character comes from the jungle and teams up with the already established Ranger team in the city.
Chemistry's alright, all the cast is good looking save for the Blue Ranger, Max; but he's gaining in personality.
Also in keeping with Post Zordon Era tradition, the first season is.... struggling. It doesn't seem to know who it is, and there are alot of filler episodes than anything that advances the plot.
And that bring us to today's episode.
A new monster has arisen. Some kind of camera-bot type dude, who steals peoples images along with their life force.
Up in the Animarium, Cole(Red Ranger from the jungle) is going on corny cheesie Saved By the Bell style how the team doesn't need rules, save that they use "teamwork."
Taylor the hot n' sexy Yellow Ranger gets upset because she's been at the Ranger game for over a year and was the former leader who wrote the rule book.
She goes down to take out the monster by herself.
Low and behold she gets her image taken, and Cole dashes in by himself to win back her image along with other innocents attacked by the monster.
All in all, not very impressive.
If you want to try and get into Power Rangers again, wait until ABC Family start airing Power Rangers Time Force again, to check out its steller run.
The action was pretty good, and nice wire-work done, but just not alot of it.
I'm on for the rest of the season, but I suspect Wild Force won't be showing it's true colors until seasn two. Then we'll see.
That's my JohnCrichton Opinion, and.... you need to check out my slammin' Sentai reviews at Japan Hero (http://www.classichero.com), now the Number ONE Sentai site on the Yahoo.Com search engine!
