Adult Swim Action Commercials

So, how do you guys like the Adult Swim Action commercials? Personally, they look really cool. And I guess Yu Yu Hakusho will at least be allowed to use the word "ass" :eek: , as it was clearly heard in the commercial. So, maybe these wont be as badly edited as we fear?

Also, remember that Outlaw Star was less edited the first time it aired...it was the second time around that they used words like "jerk" & "dang" in replace of "bastard" & "damn".

Heh...sorry, I forget whether or not minor-cussing is allowed on the AS board :D

yup, i noticed that bebop got the majority of the air time during the commercial. It's probably considered Cartoon Network's "prize possesion" because its the first anime they aired thats 95% uncut.

Thats because they missed things. When you do over 400 edits to the show, you tend to miss a few once and a while ;)

But, dont you think they still have the original tapes sitting around? Why cant they just show those? *sigh*

And, with Tenchi on at 1 or 2 AM, I'd WISH they wouldn't censor out some of that stuff(the bath scenes are 'duh', but other things like digital bikini's UNDER the cloths(if there is a small opening, & you can see she's not wearing one..stuff like that).
Outlaw, I'd wish they could leave in cussing...and maybe not censor the posters in the far background...or something like in the first couple of episodes, you find out Gene & Hilda were sleeping in the same room? That should be left in...oh, & Gene's little friend with the weapons(you know who...)

They've already edited them. They can't un-edit anything, those edits you saw on Toonami were all final.

They aired the individual commercials on AS last night, and, oddly enough, edited out Yuusuke saying "ass" this time around.

Ummm... have two different versions? Seriously, the general AS ad had two different versions (one bleeped, one not) so why not do the same with the YYH-only promo?

These commercials were awesome! I have a lot of faith that we won't get the whole "Adult Swim" pool look on Saturdays now. I'm just hoping they add the word "Action" to the block to distinguish it from the Sundays AS block.

hmmm...just remember...if it werent for CN, we wouldnt get free anime series at all...wecould be watching completely unedited anime series...for $10 a month on a pay station...lets just hope they dont butcher these shows...like sailor moon....and dbz....and gundam wing...and ols...tenchi....etc etc etc.....

Give WS & CN a break. I know WS tries thier best to leave the shows they get intact, but this is a network for basically everyone, and Toonami is a block that everyone can watch.

With AS, I think WS & CN will try to keep these shows as intact as possible. With words like "Sh**" & "Fu**", on Toonami they would be "darn", and "dang". On AS tose words would be edited to "crap" & "damn".

In some instances if it meant something to the show, or was said many times. it could likely be left in, if only to shock some naysayers (You know WS likes to do that :) ).

And of course blood & guts can stay for the most part :). We might even see Jims hand full of blood, if they took the time to unedit the series. (probably not though :( )
