Don't forget to tune in and set your VCRs TONIGHT for the final showing of Late Night Black & White on CN.
Also, if you are up late, don't forget about the first ever TTTP online chat (hopefully!!) on AOL Instant Messanger (http://www.aim.com/index.adp) during the show!! I should be online around 1:30am. When you get online, send me an Instant Message.
My screen name is: ShowBizBugs
And I will start up a chat and invite everybody.
(If you can't make it, don't worry --- future TTTP chats will be at more reasonable times of the day. I promise. I just thought it would be nice to do something special for the last LNB&W.)

Aw, poor Jerry, too bad the little feller doesn't know his show is to be canned next... JUST KIDDING!
Actually, I can't go on the chat. My dad said I'm not allowed to download any AOL programs, because those AOL jerks secretly put certain files into your computer when you download them, which annoy you to death with ads to sign up for AOL, and won't stop until you do.
I'll try and see if my dad will let me download it again, but my screen name won't be hermankatnip.

A while back the AIM tool wouldn't let non-AOL users join group chats - you could chat one-on-one with an AOL user but couldn't be invited to join a group chat. However, these non-AOL users could join the group chats on the AOL webbased community chats - these are open to the whole world of course...
Anyway, is this limitation still true? If so, all of us non-AOL users won't be able to join in the fun unless you pick a webbased chat...

I did not know that (I'm not an AOL member). Guess we'll find out...

For practicially the same reason, I never tried AOL IM. I suspected that would occur if I d/led AOL IM. So I won't be there either.

ok, it MAY have changed since 2 years ago, but as of then, you HAD to have AOL to be part of the AOL chats, not just AOL IM. Just downloading the IM and not all of AOL gives you a seperate IM system from the one that is on AOL. They're compatible for chatting one-on-one, but the non-AOL members won't have access to chat rooms, etc.

Just as a point of information: anyone with a Hotmail account has access to MSN IM which works along the same lines as AOL IM. I'm on WebTV (now MSNTV) and IM quite a few people (like my brother, who is an AOL subscriber, but has a Hotmail account) with computers, but who have Hotmail (or MSN as their ISP). Hotmail's basic service is free and includes an MSN IM ability.

Jon,
If you find you cannot chat with a group, then pick one of the AOL webbased chatrooms at this page (http://www.aim.com/community/chats.adp) and you can group chat with anyone who has AIM (whether AOL members or not). You would just need to tell everyone here which chatroom you were using - for example, maybe the "hobby chat" room. And if you go that route, any old Joe can wander in and start chatting...
I'm not sure if I will be able to make it yet. If so, I'll be using onefoggy1 .
