Hmmm.....

Could this be a 16mm print of the elusive Cool Cat cartoon? Judging by the titles of the other cartoons in the lot, I'd say it was a good possibility. Too bad it's only a black & white print. Not sure if I'd want to take a chance on it at 60 bucks, though...

No. I just came across it a few minutes ago. Of course, I have no way of transferring a 16mm film to video anyways. :p

I do! I don't have a film projector (but a friend of my dad has one), and our camcorder can zoom in, and leave no "date ID" at all! Well maybe for a few seconds, but that's it! Of course, I'd have to bribe my old folks and the kiddie to get out of the house for a few hours... :p

Yeah John it almost certainly is the real item... Another black and white print of the 1969 "Injun Trouble" sold on Ebay a few months ago... Seems like it went for $50-$60 bucks (and, no I didn't win it).

Why would this be in black and white? Why not in color? There is an earlier 1930's Injun Trouble that you'd expect to be black and white but not a toon from 1969.
Did the 1969 Injun Trouble ever get broadcast on TV?

And why are the color "MARTIAN THROUGH GEORGIA" and "MUSIC MICE-TRO" in black & white also??? Pretty simple really. These are 16mm prints struck for TV broadcast. Note where they're coming from...Australia!!! American LOCAL TV stations didn't go full-color till 1966, Australia wasn't till after that. And I think that answers your second question as well...
But as the story goes "Injun Trouble" (1969) was broadcast locally in the US for a brief while back in the early Seventies. And conversely a full-color print of "Hocus Pocus Pow-wow" is known to have turned up on Ebay... Weird.
