Sorry about the delay, my internet has been out for the last 40 hours.

Why did we climb this mountain? BECAUSE IT'S THERE!

Ice cream steak. Cookie casserole. Lollipop hamburger.

The ultimate cure for world hunger.

One million eggs. Snail eggs. Which I assume will grow to be mammoth size.

I still wonder, why is Astro Boy on Adult Swim?

I still wonder, why is Astro Boy on Adult Swim?
For the same reason Voltron, Saved by the Bell, and Pee-Wee's Playhouse were: nostalgia for adult viewers.

Also, to annoy people.

The anime lover in me is intrigued by one of the works of famed manga artist Osamu Tesuka...

...but the cartoon lover in me enjoys the over-the-top sight gags and the retro animation!

Besides, they've aired Voltron, Gigantor and Popeye. They know we like stuff like this.

Well I'm an Anime lover too so you're not alone there. Anyway, what would the newcomer think of the idea of Astro Boy on Adult Swim?

Would you see that on a kids' show?

Anyway, as for this episode: The Professor is a gas. He's the funniest character I've seen on this show so far. Can anyone surpass him? That's gonna be tough.

To annoy people.

That's the only reason.

Aw, who could be annoyed by Astro Boy?

Well, it not like it's airing in a prominate timeslot. It's on at 2 AM on a late Saturday night/early Sunday morning.

I think it's more of your first reason. I'm sure they had the airing rights to Looney Tunes, they would probably air that as well.

People who hate rainbows and kittens and joy.

Oh, I'm sure they genuinely like these shows, but they also like to needle some of their more...zealous viewers. I agree that, considering the timeslot, it really isn't a big deal.

And it's not like Astro Boy would really fit in with the rest of CN's kid programming, either.

Me for starters. The whole "LOL we're airing old kiddie shows" bit is just plain stupid when there's actually stuff worthy of being reran.

Look, if they were airing 1980's Astro I wouldn't mind as much, but this is nigh-unwatchable.

It's old, but it's a great show. It's not like we're talking about Chuck Norris here. It's no more kiddie than most CN programming.

They aired The Bob Clampett Show and Toon Heads back in 2005.

The Network stopped caring about Looney Tunes long ago, though, so chances are slim.
