Just wondering. Its kind of odd how they use it on the press release and not on the episodes themselves.

The episode titles are mainly used for reference only. They're not considered important for most people, so they're not shown.

Maybe, but it makes keeping track of some things a *****.

Agreed. I never understood why prime-time shows don't broadcast their episode titles on screen. It would making identifying a particular episode a heck of a lot easier. I always end up having to go to the TV sites to find out the titles.

Doctor Who and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia always show episode titles, but one's a british import and the other is on cable, so I don't know if those would count for you.

I do miss the days when each episode had a title at the beginning. Particularly back then (before the Internet), it helped in remembering certain episodes.

So when it moves into syndication, people don't see the episode title and switch the channel if they don't like the episode. It keeps viewer interest on "the show" and not "the episode."

Sadly, I've watched Law and Order reruns enough that I don't need the titles.

The thing is I love seeing episodes with their own names.I loved the title cards used in the old Classic cartoons, the 90s classic cartoons (BAtman TAS,Speilbergs Animated series etc.) and other stuff.I mean doesn't it distinguish an episode from another? I mean "Cheers" and "Frasier" have one common episode title (to the best of my knowledge) which is called "Pick a Con,any con".Both series are in the same universe so it kinda sucks.

It's just a random thing. Also, most people's TVGuides now tell what the episode title is, usually. I personally like having episode titles, though,
