Just wanted to know if I was the only Starman fan on these forums? Is anyone as big a fan as I am?

I loved Starman! It was one of my favorite books. The art was stupendous and the writing was flawless. One of my favorite books that DC has ever made. I was sort of glad when Robinson ended the book when he did, and not have someone else take it over.

I really enjoyed the "Talking With David" issues.

I agree with you, Jim, that Starman is the best book ever written. And the Talking with David issues were great, but I don't think any single one of them compares to the issue where he met Superman and spoke with him.

I'm kind'a bothered by the fact that Jim and I are apparently the only people who love Starman here. They have no idea what they're missing, do they?

I urge you, everyone, to go out and buy "Starman: Sins of the Father." If you are not hooked at the end of that arc, you just have no taste ;)

DC Comics should have all the Starman issues collected into TPB by the end of the year, but back issues are really easy to find. Starman was a series that people got into as it progressed. I didn't read right from the first issue. I started in the #20's and it grew on me, and I was pulled in quickly. I consistently read the title and enjoye dit. The Starman Sercet Files & Origins was actually a useful companion to the title, and not the usual garbage! The supporting characters were great, The Shade being my favorite one.

I loved Starman, but fell out of it around the time that they spent all that time on his space quest. I should really pick up the issues I missed.

Robinson's version of the Shade rules!

I loved Starman!!! It's the only recent series where I bought two of the same issues—one to keep in Mylar and the other to read. The issue with featuring the dinner with the deceased Golden Age heroes floored me when I first read it and still does today. And the Tony Harris and Andrew Robinson covers? Sweet! Does anybody know if they ever collected "The Shade" mini-series into a trade paperback . . . or even plan to?

I'm in the Starman fan category too! One of the guys at the comic book store where I shop recommended it and I was hooked from the first! My wife bought me the statue as a gift one year, and it is one of my most prized posessions.

I love Starman.
The Times Past Stories rocked!!

Phantom Lady story was my favorite.
Jester and JSA stories were good, also.

Ooooh, I forgot about the Phantom Lady issue. That one was really cool, especially since it featured some terrific art and resolved the Prairie Witch story from the annual. So was the link between Sandra and Ted Knight first established in STARMAN? Or was that created by Roy Thomas in ALL-STAR SQUARDRON?
