I like the Acme Hour... I can tape it overnight and it won't annoy my family, and I get a lot of one-shot and rarer stuff that isn't shown much.
On the flipside, I think "At Your Service Madame" sucks. Bad. What IS the point of this cartoon, other than to portray little pigs as cute and W.C. Fields as a jerk? After seeing all of these older color Merrie Melodies, I can assure you that this is one of the worst. This is why we owe so much to men like Tex Avery and Frank Tashlin, because they pushed the boundaries of animation so we didn't have to watch stuff like this anymore. (and this, from a guy who likes the 1960's cartoons and the black and white Bosko and Buddy!)

To me, a bad classic cartoon is one that is boring to watch. I think some of the 1930s one-shots are worse than "At Your Service Madame". I do think some cartoons are bad even if they are not boring, but that is not one of them.

I can't stand any of the pre-1940's Merrie Melodies one-shots. They either deal with a boring musical, or just something slow-paced and boring. The worst of these is YOU'RE TOO CARELESS WITH YOUR KISSES. One of the most boring wastes of film I've seen.

I quite like the musicals! Especially 'Mutiny In The Nursery'

Me too, I find a song with an enjoyable tune to be just as good as a cartoon with gags.

I happen to like the 1940s and 1950s character cartoons the best, but any WB or MGM cartoon is worthy of watching and having in a collection.
