:oh god not the sex talk again. The last time was painful enough" :anime:
Hmm, if west meets Mr. Bennet then he will probaly freak out. Intresting way she handled it
I have to wonder why Nathan isn't allowed to see his kids???
I bet it's sylar in the road. Yup. It's him. What going to happen to maya now....
I get the feeling Mica is in a living hell. I hate that this kid already. The girl ain't so bad.
Smart woman she is trying to get him to drop it by letting him read her thoughts.
And she crushes west. But he doesn't give up.
Nathan looks weird with the new hairdo and no beard
WHy do I get the feeling she is going to die soon
And he is pressing the issue. He wants whatever powers she has. Or not..
Intresting. What powers does Monica have. From the looks of it she might have the same power as Charlie.
And the Noah doesn't belive her in the least. And he chases her but west flies her away.
haha. Matt has been reading Nathans mind.
OMG "midas touch" Bob is Matts father????
haha. They are on top of the hollywood sign
Intresting. He was trying to see if his powers could work on people. Do they?
Nope. Bob isn't matts father. but even more intresting is that matts father is the nightmare guy.
Who is that disfigured man in the mirror.
Sylar is going to kill him.
oh please. Sylar meant to kill everyone he killed. Whats with the cockroaches.....
hook line and sinker
SO the Hatian has a sense of humor.
Does she have a power or is it michas doing?
Poor molly

so if she sees someone use their power, will she be able to duplicate it?
Nathan's reflection, from Peter going nuclear....would he fully heal in 4 months or did he get some help...I guess we'll have to wait for the episode 'four months ago'
who can fly faster? west or nathan?
i imagine the ability to fly gives you the additional strength to carry someone around.

Disappointed that there was no Hiro or Peter this week, though I'm glad the Pasbeard is gone.

Nathan; he creates sonic booms when he flies. Though we haven't seen West really test his powers yet.

I would really, really like someone to explain how Sylar was in the middle of an island at the end of last week's episode and in a middle of a desert road at the beginning ot this week's episode.
Could there be . . . two Sylars? One with powers (the one seen tonight) and one without powers (last week's Sylar). And what is the deal with the cockroaches? They weren't present after last week's slaying, which means there could actually be two Sylars.
Bum-bum-bummmmmmmmmmmm!
I think the new girl, Micah's cousin or something, I think she's a mimic, not in the extreme of someone like Peter (that we know of) but she can definitely mimic flawlessly the motions and skills of others. A little surprised seeing WWE programming written into Heroes myself, especially considering the competition on cable at the same time, but it gave them an excuse for her to get physical.

Disappointed that there was no Hiro or Peter this week, though I'm glad the Pasbeard is gone. Given what happened to those two in last week's episode (where they're currently at a part of their lives where they're currently happy with life), I can understand why those two didn't appear in this episode.
As for Micah's cousin, I think her "copying" power is limited to what she sees on TV.

I think all they showed was a tropical forest, not an island. It could be some place in mexico and he just walked out of it and nearly died of heat stroke along the way.
Although, if your theory pans out it could lead to some very cool stuff.
And, like I said before, that girl has the Sharingan.

I ain’t smart, but I assumed that it was a reflection of his inner-self. Nathan had more-or-less been acting like he died in the explosion, giving up on everything in life and drinking his trouble away. However, he then decided to get his life back together, and make things right, so he shattered the mirror and reclaimed his existence. I’m probably wrong, but I can’t help but think his reflection’s physical wounds were a representation of his mental wounds.

Here's what I don't like about the show.... at the end of each episode, nothing ever gets resolved and I'm left going, "FRACK!" Where as other shows end and I'm like, "Wow, that was an awesome episode!" There's still secrets to be discovered, but you get a story told per episode. This show... no story told... just... people doin' stuff 'til we almost get an answer and then it goes to "to be continued."
I hate how Mr. Glasses doesn't just tell her daughter about the painting. She knows about the paintings, she's been in battle before, and EVERYTHING would be made easier if they'd just communciate. The "romance" makes me want to tear teddy bears in half. But I'll keep watching, because it does make for interesting water cooler coversations here at work.
But the faults of HEROES are many, I find.
No Hiro or Peter either... boo! :P

So Monica's the Taskmaster, interesting. All she'd need to do is watch some Jackie Chan movies and she's set for combat. ;)
Funny how Micah tried to use his powers on her.
I'm really not liking the Claire/West thing.. it's so cheesy and West still seems like the psycho/stalker kind of guy.

Kinda disappointed about this episode and the past few in general actually. With such a big cast, I don't see a reason to introduce a new hero into the show. Focus more on Peter, Hiro and the others, especially since she doesn't seem to have anything to do with the plot at all.

Here's my beef with this season so far.
First off, the Peter storyline is over with. It was over with as soon as he saved everyone in the gang from their traitor. Open the box, remember who you are, remember what you did, go back home. The end.
This "box" plotline seems like something that was so forced from the network so that they could market it in their promos. I hate it and it needs to go.
Next up, what in God's name was up with that ridiculous storytelling device of Hiro's through the scrolls in the sword. I LOVED the idea of the scrolls in the sword and the "Ando Open" symbols. It could have been used to SUCH better extent though. Just the way that he was talking was idiotic, "I have made a great discovery! Takezo Kensei has powers too!"
It was ludicrous and insults our intelligence. Hiro's plotline in the past was over as well, they're keeping him there because there's absolutely NOTHING going on right now back in the present.
Noah and Claire, this is the most ludicrous attempt at storytelling of all. The love these two had for each other after "Company Man" NEVER faltered even a LITTLE bit for the rest of Season 1. It was one of the most heart warming parts of the entire series. Now, all of a sudden, because there's some Clark Kent wanna be telling her he was abducted by him, she hates him?
Are you kidding me?! After all the bull they went through, she's gonna let this retard that did NOTHING but TORTURE her for 2 1/2 episodes drive her between them?!
I swear to holy God, if that painting comes true in the sense that we're led to believe so far, I will never watch this amazing show again. I am so deeply in love with Season One, it moved me to tears so many times. This season has done nothing but sadden me, but I will not turn away until HRG dies from Claire and Clark.
Now that's for all the sacrilige they're giving us with already created characters. While the Sharingan chick bores me right now, I'll give her a shot. My concern is with Matt's dad. In Season One, granted, everyone was connected to everyone else in some way, but they were already established characters. I don't like how the first two bits of information we get about Matt's dad is that he knew the Company founders and he's the "Nightmare Man".
That's the general feeling behind everything this season, everything just feels so forced.
While I'm clearly not feeling it, I pray to God Hiro and Peter's plotlines get resolved soon so I can feel like this Season has a prayer.

I don't see why every Season 1 regular has to have a storyline when there's nothing compelling to tell - i.e. Nikki Sanders, Lois & Clark (aka Claire & West), Ando. Though it's good that Micah has his own arc without Nikki. Taskmaster girl (Monica) has potential to be interesting.
Uhura did not appear in the photo. Does that mean she's not a super or a founder? Or did she assume a different identity? Hmmm.

I am ready to stop watching and just wait for the season two release. So far the show seems to be going nowhere and only now with Parkman's storyline does it seem to be finally gathering some momentum. I know Heroes wasn't the best show out there but it compelled me to watch last year, but this season I feel a lot of that disappearing. I hope the Parman/Bad man storyline will finally give the show the juice it needs.

Rating: Don't pick up 'dead people' on the road
Noah Bennet and the Haitian
Off to a familiar place, no wait, the Ukraine? Wonder if they'll cross paths with a) one of the founders, b) Niki and/or c) the hooded killer, more specifically. Wind chimes, good call back to season one.
Claire Bennet and West
Meh. Still don't trust West.
Molly Walker, Matt Parkman and Mohinder Suresh
What a bombshell. So Molly's Nightmare Man is Parkman's estranged father?!
Nathan Petrelli
I like where his character is going. So determined to redeem himself and defeat his past self-shown by his hideous post explosion self. And more importantly, acknowledgment of the beard! ;)
Maya, Alejandro, Derek and Sylar
Totally forgot, Derek was the guy that stole Claire's Nissan Rogue. Maya can talk English, that helps. Interesting how Sylar addressed his impotency by using his original name but ain't above using a brick. Another instance of the roach appearing, as well.
Micah Sanders, Damon Dawson, Nana, Monica Dawson
Hmm, so Monica is going to be the new 'Peter,' feeling like she was meant for something more important. Photographic reflexes is a cool power, and who says tv is bad for you?
Angela Petrelli
I have to admire her resolve and not spilling the beans on what she knows for the past 4 episodes. I guess she doesn't care about running away anymore and is just waiting for the killer to make good.
The Company
Thought it was funny that Bob is the type of person that you don't remember well. I looked a couple of times and it seems the 12th person is obscured (not talking about Mr. Petrelli but the lower right). Have to go surf around, someone must have posted a grab of that picture.

Worthy of noting that we got a much better picture (drawing) of Nathan and Peter's father back in one of the graphic novel arcs back in the spring. Of course, it was very old, so it's not exactly the same. His government issued codename at the time was "Dallas" I believe.

Next to Charles Deveaux? I thought so as well. As soon as Nana appeared at the end of last week's episode, I automatically assumed she was one of them.

Does anyone else see a relationship between Mohinder's speech about cockroaches at the beginning of last season, and their recurring appearance since the explosion?
Maybe something to do with one of the founders?

I think Hiro's in the past because Kensei will become this season's main bad guy. That seems to be the best way that storyline could pay off.

Another good Heroes episode. I guess it's something when you don't need some of the more centeral characters in an episode (Peter/Hiro) and make it still feel like something of importance. (Though I have to admitt the whole Lostish "previous on" segments are things I'm trying to avoid now for fear of spoilers. It kind of gives away what will be important to the episode which it really shouldn't, at least to me anyway). So lets take a look to see what made this one tick.
Maya and Alenerdero and... Sylar: Guess that other guy wasn't important, just being another victim of Sylar (I think this is the first time Sylar specifically just kills a non-powered person which I guess is of some importance). This should bump up the Maya/Alendero plot some: having them interact with the last season's villian. Maya comes off a bit too trusting here (though to be fair we don't know enough about her character for it to seem to unbelievable) and with Alendero unable to speak English (which sort of makes them the Ando/Hiro duo of the season in a way. I bet Alendero's going to be speaking fairly decent english by season end if he lasts that long) I doubt they'll get as wise to Sylar then say Mohinder did (espically with no knowledge of his hero killing past and all). Speaking of him...
Mohinder, Molly and Matt: I guess M3 is what you could call them. Lots of interesting revelations on that end: Matt getting info from Nathan, and then finding out that his dad is apparently the big season arc villain that terrifies Molly. Guess that ties into the whole "Generations" thing (as well as some powers being hereditary since he seems to have a mind power like Matt does). With Molly being unconcious though I doubt Matt will end up searching for his dad soon unless he wants tensions to flare even more with Mohinder (I guess it's a rule of thumb for tension to exisit in some form in every episode but sometimes it comes up more forced then others. This being one of those).
Nathan and Angela: We do get a bit about Angela's past (though I still want to know what made her start pointlessly shopifiting in the beginning of the first season) but nothing too much. I am glad Nathan shaved off that beard though (it was mentioned in "Five Years Gone" commentary it took Mohinder three weeks to get that future beard. Wonder how long it took Nathan to get his).. I have a feeling Nathan's family will also play a bit more of a role this season then they did last time but still not exactly sure how.
Monica and Micah: I did hear about them adding Monica in episode four (aka this one) and her having a connection with Micah. However I didn't expect her power to be... well it seems to be copying what she sees (so far TV related) and preforming them in real life. if that could be ANYTHING on TV, she could easily become more powerful then Sylar and Peter combined if someone hooks her up with high powered cartoon action (nice 619 by Monica BTW). So far her plot about wanting to get out of town is.. well sort of interesting but I have a feeling hers will be the least interesting/D.L and Niki kind of plot the fans don't really care about. I do hope Micah and Monica find out about each other soon. That'd be a nice way to bond.
Noah and Claire: While Noa tries to steer away from that future and find those other pics (nice appearence by the Haitan BTW) Claire spends more time with West. I know some still don't like the relationship but I think they're a good fit: Teenagers just trying to find someone they can hang with and be themselves with more. Feels more honest then some of the other pairings on this show. Though Claire's lie like so many things will probably bite her in the end. But at least it gives them another chance to dust off the old "Save the cheerleader save the world" thing right?
Overall pretty good ep. I'm hoping for some interesting things come next week with more Peter/Hiro involvement and all.

(I think this is the first time Sylar specifically just kills a non-powered person which I guess is of some importance)Sorry, but I'm pretty sure you're wrong on that. Chandra Suresh was probably the first, then the random trucker in the comics, and finally his own mother. He also probably had every intent to eventually kill Mrs. Bennet, Mohinder, and Ando. I may have even missed a few. As Sylar noted last season when he thought he might be the bomb, he kills if there is a purpose (at least in his own mind) and all of the deaths, except his mother's which was more of an accident, had some semi-logical motive.

Don't forget Claire's friend Jackie, though that was a case of mistaken identity.

So Sylar's hooked up with Maya and Alejandro, hopefully jumping life into this yawn-fest of a brother-sister duo. I wouldn't be surprised if they, or at least Maya, help Sylar on his quest, even if only for a little awhile. In fact, I want to see that!
Lots of fathers mentioned in passing and in live situations. Nathan and trying to sneak in a visit with his kids; Mr. Bennet and him getting really suspicious of Claire's actions (especially in relation to the painting from last week); Hiro's dad mentioned again among victims and possible victims/killer - as well as Matt's dad, the guy haunting Molly's dreams! Wow...
Monica, Micah's cousin, a selective copier of sorts, tied to the New Orleans/Katrina angle (saw coming for someone last week when Micah was dropped off there) - possibly an actual interesting new character.
Though, of course, Kirsten Bell's character debuts next week, so we'll see.
In other news... am I the only one missing the 'shocking cliffhanger endings' in every episode of last season's first third? Shock value's been sorely missing, or if present, not as strong this season.
"The Kindness of Strangers": 3/5.
