Will Ferrel
Dana Carvey
Phil Hartman
Darrel Hammond
Mike Myers
Cheri Oteri (honorable mention)
...Darrel Hammond might be an odd choice, but his impersonations are so perfect that I had to choose him. I mean, has anyone ever done a better Ted Koppel or Al Gore?

I have to agree, Daryl impressions are up there with Phil Hartman's and Dan Ackroyd's. He is a master. No one has ever done Ted Koppel like him, and his Clinton and Gore is classic. I thought Hartman's Clinton was good but Daryl's are on point.

I wish I could include a few more, like Cheri Oteri and Jon Lovitz, but I think that's my top 5.
Oh, and by the by, MOLLY SHANNON SHOULD BE ERASED FROM THE HISTORY OF EXISTENCE BY TIME TRAVELLING HITMEN.

He did numerous guest spots in the show's early days. One night they held a call-in vote where viewers would decide whether or not to cook a lobster, and the majority of viewers voted to keep the lobster alive. That gave Andy the idea to have people vote on whether or not to let him back on the show ever again, so on the night little 8-year-old Drew Barrymore hosted, Andy Kaufman was banned from SNL by the majority of viewers (at this point, Dick Ebersol was running things; not Lorne Michaels, and I don't think Ebersol was sad to see Andy go). Andy died before ever getting to go back on again.

Phil Hartman-Very versatile, very funny.
John Belushi-Cheeseburgah, cheeseburgah, pepsi.
