What do you think? I liked the old one much better. This new one is slanted and icky.

Noting beats the old Gold 2 in my book.

We own the same book, Dalek. They were using that for what, from the beginning until 35 years later?

Eh, sorry, but this huge thing was the only Google Image that had the original 2 on it in some form.

Though this new one isn't bad. To be honest, I prefer it to what they originally replaced the famous "2" with, and what they've been using for much of the 2000's....a very plain Arial-font "2" in a blue box. KOMO in Seattle got the same design for their "4", so it must have been mandated by a higher power that didn't live in either area.
I don't mind the logo so much as the entire campaign that seems to have come with it. Every single thing on the news, as of today, appeared in an explosion of shiny red and blue CGI. If the previous layout was too plain, this one's too loud!
You know what I really miss, though?

I miss the old KPTV logo, too. Maybe we should start a letter campaign to bring it back. :) And apparently, Perry Mason will be forever on at noon (unlike Mr. Rogers on KOPB, which moved from 11:30 to 6:30.)
As for the logo on KATU, though, they cut off the end part for the time and temperature, which makes the logo look awkward and slanted. If you look at the logo in its fullness like on my avatar, it's not that bad. And by the way, another bad thing about KATU is they brought back the DHS anti-smoking ad with the crying coughing baby! Agh!

Actually, KATU and KOMO's owner is located in Seattle.

Another thing that changed is their motto. It's "On Your Side." They put it everywhere, although I don't see how Wheel of Fortune is on your side.
