The ECW Title saw action at No Mercy (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=198787) where CM Punk defeated Big Daddy V by DQ. Punk did not look much like a winner by the time the former Viscera left the ring, however.

October 9, 2007

ECW Champion CM Punk knew he had a problem when he met a man - if he is truly just a man - who could overpower him in the ring. The problem grew when Big Daddy V earned a title opportunity against Punk at No Mercy. And as much as the Straightedge Superstar hoped for a resolution to come Sunday night, the problem is a big as it's ever been.

Will Big Daddy V take any further steps in trying to get the ECW Championship? How hurt is CM Punk? Will he continue to work at getting the chip off his shoulder?

Also, Tommy Dreamer’s dreams were squashed on ECW on Sci Fi when his win over Elijah Burke in the Elimination Chase to No Mercy was shaken by a twist from ECW General Manager Armando Estrada. Will he get back on track?

Last week, Kelly Kelly finally told Balls Mahoney she’d go out on a date with him, but The Miz, who revealed that he owns Extreme Exposé’s management contract, warned he would fire her if she does. Where will Kelly Kelly’s heart lead her? Will the ECW beauty stay with Brooke, Layla and ECW’s self-proclaimed chick magnet, The Miz? Or will Kelly Kelly’s new teddy bear be Balls?

Find out the answers to these extreme questions and more Tuesday on ECW on Sci Fi at 10/9 CT.

Great to see the best entrance in years return in Morrison's entrance. Match was very good as well. I'm guessing he gets another ecw title shot soon.

overall, a decent ecw.

Very good main event. So many kicks. That inverted superplex/super brainbuster freaked me out.

I'm still enjoying the Balls-Miz feud. LOLed at Miz channelling the baby-punting spirit of Bearded Snitsky. Kelly looked hotter than usual tonight.

CM Punk had "Happy Birthday" written on his wrist tape. Eddie Guerrero would've turned 40 years old today.

I thought it was a sub-par ECW. I was excited to see balls vs. The Miz finally occur, but I hated the ending. I was glad CM Punk would face John Morrison. Those two provide entertaining matches, despite the bruised ribs. Dreamer versus Big Daddy V was a terrible way to open the show though, and who cares about a Kevin Thorn squash match? I really wish they'd stop having the squash matches. Even Boogeyman would be better than having a squash match.

I will say I was glad they didn't do the slow mo enterance for Morrison. I hate slow-mo enterance's.

For the 2nd night in a row, they saved the best match for last. Morrison looked solid in his return, and I'd rather see him vs. Punk at Cyber Sunday than Big Daddy V.

No Estrada tonight. 2nd time in 3 weeks that's happened. Hmmmm.

Yo, Mizizzle. Would it hurt to do a job for Balls Mahoney?

For the uninitiated, "James Curtis" is KC James, who had a brief run on Smackdown last year before being sent down due to then-manager Michelle McCool going on the DL (illness). Almost totally squashed vs. Thorn, but expect him to return as KC soon.

Mizizzle's punt looked as bad as some of those college kickers.:D Off the side of his foot. Snitsky was much better 3 years ago, and all he had was a doll the size of a football!

That last move in the Morrison/Punk match was sick. I though Punk was dead. That hurt just to look at it.

Still, that match was all kinds of good. Their best yet, I feel. Punk did a hell of a job selling the ribs, and they played it up well as Punk fought it off as long as he could until he just couldn't take it anymore. Morrison got his pride back (albeit minus some gold), and Punk still looked strong.

I'm a little late in my comments, but here we go...

I couldn't believe Tazz said 'if you haven't seen Big Daddy V!' It's after No Mercy which is low on the PPV totem pole and the new TV season has started. No one is stumbling upon ECW this week.

We have seen Big Daddy V beat Tommy Dreamer before though. Rough deal for the ECW Original, not a surprise outcome though.

I barely recognized James Curtis as KC James. I did notice he wasn't announced as being from Michigan which made me think he was a little more than a local or pretend local worker. I guess we know what the 'C' stood for. Thorn needs to get back on the right track after coming in third (or four out of five) in the Elimination Chase.

Heels punting stuffed animals never gets old, so I liked seeing The Miz pick on Bear Mahoney or Balls Bear. Kelly did look hot this week.

I thought John Morrison might give a great promo about going into exile after his loss, but I guess WWE doesn't want to acknowledge administratively sending him to their own 'palace of wisdom.' I was a bit surprised to see him to get win over Punk, but I am happy about it. Morrison is back on the right track.
