Greg Rucka will be leaving Detective Comics with issue #775 in October, and will be replaced with Ed Brubaker. Any comments on this big change in the Bat-Books? The complete story is located HERE.

This sucks :(

I wonder whatll happen to Sasha, he did create her, will she be "stored away" as he says will do with characters and storylines. Sasha has grown to be one of my favorite characters and would hate to see her go.

Still, I loved his Detective Comics stories, too bad he's leaving.

When I read the headline to that article, I almost cried.

I want to know who the replacement will be on Batman. We've had a good team for about 2 years now, and I don't want that to change.

I doubt Sasha will be gone completely from the books (unless, of course, something happens during Murder/Fugitive) because Grayson and Brubaker have each been using her in their books.

Ed Brubaker is a FANTASTIC writer. Rumors are flying, but wouldn't it be great to see Jeph Loeb get Batman?

Alas, all good things must come to an end. At least this may be a step in the direction to bringing back Gordon and Bullock without involving recreating the universe.

:( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I cannot even begin to express my unhappiness about this. I absolutely loved having Rucka on the Batman comics, and now I'm really frustrated and upset to see him go.

I don't care if they're brought back, because the writing on the book is soooo good, but how. If it's done in a craptastic way, then I'll be more upset than I was when they left.

I knew about this ahead of time. Don't worry, this'll be handled really really well. I told ya before, #775 is gonna be a really, REALLY good issue.

And don't worry none about Sasha. She's in good hands, too.

Man...there's still no mention of when Rucka is going to be writing for Wonder Woman...

I hear that Rucka will be co-writing WW with Jimenaz sometime in Jimenaz's third year on the title. I think. I'm not 100% positive of that, but I think that's when Rucka's gonna help.
