Robot Chicken is on the fix now and watchable AS wise Sunday at 11:30PM. With Episode 49 (Show Wise Anyway) "Celebutard Mountain"
SYNOPSIS:
"Our PS3 Winner gets what's coming to him. Mr. Rogers is turning Japanese. Spawn faces the devil with his one true skill - fiddling. Fonzie takes care of Cha-Chi the best he can in the Pursuit of Happy Days. Iron Man's feet becomes his greatest weakness. VHI's "Top One Hundred Final Episodes" shows the ending to Loveboat, Mork and Mindy, and More"
REVIEW:
Well I have to say overall it was at least better then the last few episodes. Probably not the best this season but still worth watching at least. The killing of the PS3 contestant was okay (guess he was told that was happen) if only for chucking his PS3 at him like the piece of garbage it is. Mr. Rogers Japanese was okay, highlighted by Masi Oka doing japanese roger (with Hayden having done RC before, what's to stop the staff from doing a Heroes parody of some short? Guess they're saving that for later). The devil bit was pretty good due to Satan's crappy preforemnce and the mention of Spawn's suckful ABC show. The Fonzie sketch was the best of the episode, with nice jabs at Happy Days ("Are you a pimp", Fonzie's office and even jumping the shark, something people have accused RC of doing for a couple of weeks), with the Iron Man sketch being pretty good too (mainly for the mention of Manner being like Dr. Doom and seeing him at the end). The top 100 had it's highs and lows. Highs being the PJ skit, making fun of VH1 100 special and mentioning Loveboat isn't a good show. The Mork and Mindy/Incredible Hulk/whatever that show at the end was wasn't too good. The shorts were pretty good this time around (best were the Lair parody since that is a confusing game, the brother killing himself due to losing Operation, Everyone hates Christ, with the rest being pretty decent. At least no real stinkers this time around. So overall a pretty good ep and hopefully a sign RC is changing for the better.
Well that's it. Enjoy Everyone!

jumping the shark... how appropriate
anyways it was alright i guess. that whole Happy Days bit just sucked. it went on way too long, and wasn't funny in the least. the same with the Spawn bit. the Operation skit was funny though, so were "Final Episodes"
can someone explain the "it wasn't a chicken" thing? i don't get what show they're making fun of.

We start with Robot Chicken's normal gratuetous(sp) violence that is never really funny.
Rogers-san's sketch was pretty funny, Godzilla attacking the land of make believe was really a good use of late 80's-early 90's parody.
Fonzie's sketch was a bad parody of a bad movie.
The final episodes thing was also pretty funny. If only they could stop imitating Family Guy's cutaway gags and actually be funny.

The final episode of M*A*S*H had Hawkeye in a mental hospital after watching a woman smother her crying baby. Evacuees were on a broken-down bus at night while North Koreans were patrolling the area, and it was the only way to avoid being found. Hawkeye had a mental breakdown, and for most of the episode replayed it in his mind as the woman smothering a chicken.

PS3 Contest Winner segment: Remind me not to enter their next sweepstakes.
Roger-san's Neighborhood: Good
Died on the Operation Game Board: Okay, but too grim an ending
Spawn Went Down to Georgia: Okay
Everybody Hates Christ: Someone's going to hell for this one.
The Pursuit of Happy Days: ???
Top 100 Final Episodes:
Win: Incredible Hulk
Place: Mork & Mindy
Show: The Love Boat
Better than the last few. Not as much emphasis on the crotch area.
Wishing comic book knowledge wasn't required.

loved the spawn and iron man sketch and whats Jyose promblem with "pursult of happieness" that was a great movie
The Pursuit of Happyness was a good movie, too bad the parody was awful. Seemed a bit like a stretch to really pull that off. Everything else was weak, and the PS3 contest opener was just terrible. I'm really starting to lament that every other character on here just dies for no reason, it's really starting to ramp up.
Really no laughs the entire episode, and the VH1 thing was done before on RC and better. Why have a countdown parodying VH1 when you don't even have any celebrities or comedians commenting on the parody in the parody? Gah.
D
Season Three has just been awful.
Is it just me, or is Masi Oki getting a lot more plugs on TV than expected?
Anyway, the episode was rather awful. It seems the formula for any sketch now is 3 or more bodily function jokes and a death.

l.
Mad TV's parody of the VH1 specials owned this episode.
The We love the (insert decade) specials caught up with themselves, creating a time loop and caused the universe to implode on itself.

Ftr, it's Oka. o.o
On-topic, I didn't like this episode much.
The Japanese Mr. Rogers was amusing, and The Pursuit of Happy Days was OK,but went on a bit too long...

The VH1 parody was horrible. Some of them were okay, like "Everyone Hates Christ" but... most of them, like, the Iron Man sketch, were ruined by the unnecessary abundance of gore. Same with operation. Decent concepts, until the pointless deaths. Japanese Mr. Rogers wasn't very funny either. "Haha, Japan has giant monsters, if Mr. Rogers lived there, he'd be invaded by Godzilla!" Meh.
Edit: Pursuit of Happy Days was okay... though not that funny.

It was all pretty meh. That Operation sketch may have been better if the police actually did show up.
Also, did they forget that Mork & Mindy had a son?

Jonathan Winters playing a giant baby is something I think we'd all like to forget.

Jonathan Winters playing a giant baby is something I think we'd all like to forget. You'd figure the Robot Chicken writers would like to play on something that obscure and screwed up...
