well, if you read my other post on indy comics, the same applys in that im trying to be a more well rounded comic reader, so that should include manga.

anyone reading a good one now or can recommend a good one? preferably one that just started, like those ones viz comics produces.

or any good ones that have already been released in those big fat books? is record of the lotus wars good? id preferably be interested in an original manga, not one based on a series, like the tenchi mangas. if a series has been based on it, thats fine, but im interested in reading a manga which came first.

i also heard that the battle angel manga was good, and not too long.

anyway, thanks for the info. peace.

Are you looking for english language manga or straight Japanese?

You can't go wrong with:

Dragon Ball
Rurouni Kenshin
Ranma 1/2
Fushigi Yuugi
Yuu Yuu Hakusho
Hakuto no Ken
Urusei Yatsura
Gunsmith Cats

The two original Mobile Suit Gundam novels Viz release are pretty good, but can get *erhm* "innapropriate."

Galaxy Express 999 is EPIC! But you probably have to check out the animated films before you read it.
