Here in the U.S., Confederate Honey is banned because of the black caricatures that it contains. You British people are lucky that you get to see these PIC cartoons.

Ça fait longtemps que j'ai pas vu "Confederate Honey. La dernière fois que j'ai vu, c'était à Bugs & Daffy il y a longtemps. :D

It is on THE GOLDEN AGE OF LOONEY TUNES VOL. 3 (laserdisc), which I have.
Is it uncut on the laserdisc?

Yep, it's uncut on volume three. All of the cartoons on the GAOLT box sets are uncut.

TNT used to run the edited version of "Confederate Honey" back in the early 1990s. It wasn't as short as the edited "September in the Rain," but it also didn't have much pacing with all the fade outs that were inserted.
Apparently, someone at CN thought so too, since the cartoon is now completely out of the rotation (or, like "Dog Gone South" someone decided having the main character be a Confederate solider was automatic disqualification, even with the edits, though how having Elmer Fudd as a "Confedewate" could be overly respectful to the South is beyond me).

Yes, I want to see "Confederate Honey", but I'm not about to download an FTP program. Oh well, downloads last only as long as the computer, anyway.

Kids' WB used to run a very heavily edited version on an episode of their BUGS 'N DAFFY SHOW from 1997-8. That's probably the last time "Confederate Honey" was seen on U.S. television.

You just click on a file and push "save to folder," right? I finally have some space on my computer to take advantage of this.

How in the h*ll do you access the site? I don't understand how the FTP thing works, and when I click on the download link, it says it's an .exe file, which means it's for Windows, and, as I believe most of you know, I don't have no stinkin' Windows! And when I went to dns2go.com, I didn't see any place to log in to Goopy's account to access his toons. What do I do?! Do I have to buy a whole new Windows computer just to download the toons?!

Can I steer this thread back toward dicussing "Confederate Honey"? Remember, that's the price Goopy charges for his services!
Maybe the "how do I see it?" stuff should go in a new thread anyway.
OK then - my 2 cents:
I haven't seen this film in *many* years so it was a treat! It had some pretty good gags - I liked how the Union soldiers of varying physical shapes and sizes entered one side of the tent and came out the other side all looking identical!
It was intresting noting how Freleng twice put Elmer Fudd and Hugh Herbert into a story with an event from American history as the backdrop (the other being "The Hardship of Miles Standish" of course).
One little historical problem - Kentucky started the war neutral but later joined in the Union side so either they should have set this story a bit further south or Elmer should have joined the Union army. Oh well!
Thanks again Goopy!
