Tonight at 10PM, Comedy Central's airing the first of seven Brand new South Park episodes. These seven will be the second half of season eleven, and like always, are pretty much made by the week. In other words we don't know what the next ep will be and may not know until a few days before it airs. However we do know what this episode is. Episode 1108, "Le Petit Tourette"

EPISODE 161 TALKBACK!
SYNOPSIS: In the premiere episode, Cartman discovers the joys of having Tourette's syndrome. Drunk with the power of saying whatever he wants without getting in trouble for it, Cartman lines up national TV coverage to take advantage of his new life with no filters.
NOTE ONE: In case you miss the premiere, it's ready to catch again at Midnight and tommorow at 10:00, after which is a brand new Drawn Together.
NOTE TWO: Thought I'm not 100% sure, I have confidence this plot is at least somewhat based off the well known internet site, TourettesGuy.com. (It's down now but you can find videos of it here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3775934817379321852). Pretty much a guy with Tourettes cursing profoundly due to his case of Tourettes. Will Cartman be just as funny/funnier? Only time will see.
Well that's it. Enjoy this one everyone!
sweet, thanks, i dint know new episodes were starting up again.

Meh, these days I don't go into South Park episodes with high expectations. Most follow the same pattern. Either the town freaks out about something or the main character of the episode stumbles upon a secret organization and is usually persecuted by or ambivalent towards it.
But that's what you get when you write an episode is 5 days.

This should be good. Only one dud episode since the start of season 10. The odds are in favor of a good one. :p
Seriously, should be funny.

What's the latest thing in the news this week? I suspect they may interject something in the ep. regarding it.

That was pretty good. I liked the long line-up of men shooting themselves when they went into the building and saw Chris Hanson, and Cartman repeatedly interrupting Garrison's class, with Garrison being unable to say anything.

Wow. Funny stuff.
He does have a dad, though, but not in a normal way.
This episode wasn't bad. I agree that this episode may have been inspired by some celebrities' recent idiotic activities. Clyde really shined this episode with his "...I would be so happy." lines, and any episode with Butters or Kenny featured in some way is bound to be good. It's funny that we got two episodes of South Park tonight that featured a moral about watching one's mouth. (They aired the N-Word Guy episode before this, for those who don't know.) I can't wait to see what Matt and Trey come up with for next week's show. Maybe they should focus on what happens to rapper's who don't actually do what they say they'll do?:D (I'm referring to the fact that 50 Cent said that if Kanye West's album out-sold his, he wouldd retire. His album was out-sold by 300,000 copies the first week, and we still have no retirement announced.) Have they ever done an episode about all the crappy parody movies that have been released, referring to Date Movie, Epic Movie, etc.?
This is one show that took a while to get me to like it, but now I would be sad if it got cancelled. Keep up the good work, Matt and Trey.

Though part of me still feels this episode was sort of based off the Tourettes Guy, it dosen't really have the same feeling of it. Rather it seems like the SP staff trying to give another one of those censorship warnings (thus the costant use of s*** even though they couldn't break the f-word barrier) about how you should try and watch what you say otherwise you're natural filter will make you say stuff you don't want said as well. I guess that's sort of a different lesson but it was presented in a very similar way: group of kids with a problem and the adult who suffered similarly, trying to teach one of the boys the WRONG lesson of tolerance, the somewhat evil group and of course the overdose of suicides. Seriously is season 11 the "shoot myself before anything else" season because there's been at least one suicide in every other episode so far. I mean there were good parts to the episode (Cartman's song in the beginning, telling Kyle he's faking/his evil plan to insult the jews as much as he want talking about the Emmy ala how SP won the Emmy this year, Kyle having to apologize and Cartman insulting Kyle's parents, Cartman mentioning touching his cousin's penis and how in the end he sort of won because he got Kyle to stop Dateline before he embarassed himself) but a lot of it felt more SP generic. overall one of the much weaker Season/half season starters. IMHO probably the weakest since 'Mrs. Garrision's Fancy New Vagina". Better then that episode but not what I wanted the show to start on this year.

This episode was pretty good overall- and I'd really like to know the action figures that Cartman was looking at.
But y'know, they pointed out the issue I have with Turettes Syndrome- I understand it overall, but I find it very suspicious that everyone just shouts out profanities. Why is it always profanities that are blurted out? Let's say the world came to their senses, and just realized the words didn't mean anything- what would people on Turettes say instead- "eagle giant mousetrap"? I don't mean to sound insensitive, but Cartman DID bring up the point early on, and I thought it was worth mentioning.
As for the kids who click and stuff like that, THAT I think is understandable. D'ya see what I mean by this?
Otherwise, decent episode to start out the new season. Not one of my favorites, but not bad either. I loved how it took him over in the end, though :)

That would be because those other kids are normal Tourette's sufferers. In real life, they don't go around shouting profanity. That's just something you see on TV.

Well, there are a few victims that do that, but they're a small minority.
Anyways, a good premiere. The bit at the end with "Oh my God, Chris Hansen!" *bang* was gold. Especially the one guy that said "There aren't any brownies at all!"
I still think Cartman should have gotten a bit of real punishment, but oh well...I'm sure there'll be plenty of that this season anyways.
So...why don't you have a seat over here?

No, my point is why is it SPECIFICALLY "profanities" that are shouted out? Remember- Cartman initially got the idea from the kid who DID have Tourettes, and that other kid- as well as the guy who ran the support group- ALSO did that.

Its a stereotype. Most people are unaware what Tourettes actually is or dose and those who are usually think it consists with constant swearing, because thats what most media associate with it. You don't really need to think into it.
Good episode though.

There was only 1 bleep in this swearing Tourettes South Park episode.
But how come there was no swear counter like in a South Park past episode?
I even like the plug for Wendy's as one of the people went into the Chris Hanson Dateline studio to be surprised. Even Cartman was funny at singing from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory "I Got a Golden Ticket".

I don't know how no one has mentioned how hilarious Parker's rendition of the Tourette's tolerance guy was. Whenever he involuntarily said a profanity, it was always exaggerated and drawn out. I honestly cracked up everytime he said anything. "AAASSSSSSSSSSS!"

Even at the end, Kyle and the kid with Tourettes both sweared the "S" word and why the quote at the end of the South Park end credits rather than the showing of the Braniff - Believe It logo some Kyle like voice saying "What did you say?"
The mother was holding Okami.
Much love to Trey & Matt for plugging it to some degree.I noticed that too (probably since Okami is one of my fave PS2 games)...
I loved Cartman singing "I Have a Golden Ticket" during the episode,as well as when he started saying things he really didn't want to....
Also, that while Kyle managed to foil his plans,he was grateful....
We've been down this road before.
Swearing has been covered in multiple episodes, and in this episode nothing really stood out. We've seen darker sides to Cartman before, and one episode that does this very well is Tsst. Here, it seems alright. We've been down the Kyle Stopping Cartman In The TV World path before too. Cartoon Wars parts 1 & 2 did this in a very epic sense.
The only redeeming part to this episode was the entire Act 3 and Cartman's oft-advertised line 'I will say horrible things on the air, and people will call me brave'.
And the line 'Aww man, if I could say _ to _, I'd be ssooooo happy' was funny up until the 3rd time they used it, then it just seemed like filler.
Compared to stuff they've done before, this was a very lazy episode. It feels like this plot should have been place back in the first handful of seasons, back when Cartman saying stuff was still crude and fresh.

I kept expecting a direct reference to the Tourettes Guy. I have a feeling this episode was inspired by him, but it's kinda hard to tell. It's a shame that TG is dead now.
Speaking of tourettes, I used to know someone who had it, among other things. He swore a lot, but not involuntarily.
Someone really needs to remix that "PISS COMING FROM MY ASS" scene at the children's therapy center, that would rule. It's a good thing they didn't bleep anything either, if they did it wouldn't be as funny.

Yeah, he was great in this episode. Why'd I call him Clyde? lol
It was an interesting episode-- I'm amazed withn how far they pushed it.
I am amused though at how Cartman lost control of what he was able to say, and realized that he shouldn't have faked it in the first place.

So they started the season with a Kyle vs Cartman show. Now the question remains: what sort of trouble will Randy Marsh get himself into next week?

I thought it was a pretty good episode. Lots of highlights here:
"If I could....I would be sooo happy"
"I wet my bed last night"

"Oh god it's Chris Hanson!" (bang!)
And, of course, the twist ending.

Funny episode. I love anything where Cartman tries to cheat and gets in over his head and looks like an idiot. Although I felt bad about it, I laughed at the To Catch A Predator stuff at the end.
They seem to have broken the s-word ban. Wasn't South Park supposed to be destroyed if anyone said it?
I think they just needed to cut back on it.

I was thinking that too. I bet when they came up with the idea, the episode practically wrote itself.

Wow, how how times have changed. It wasn't too long ago that a Simpsons episode had to be ADR'd in reruns for simply even MENTIONING tourette's, and now South Park has done a whole episode with it as its focal point (although it took them long enough).
As for the episode itself; it's all right, nothing spectacular, but funny.

great episode. so now comedy central might leave sh** and co** uncensored. best parts:
If I could....I would be sooo happy"
"have a seat...take a seat"
"Oh god it's Chris Hanson! (and "there really arent any brownies?!")"
for some reason i found "Pisss out my a**" really funny when he said it.
"I brought you Wendy's! (and later, when the same guy skips inside saying "co**!!")"

The official synopsis for tomorrow's episode is:
NEW YORK, October 8, 2007 - Stan's dad takes the biggest crap of his life and his mom just can't see what the big deal is in an all-new episode of "South Park" entitled, "More Crap," premiering on Wednesday, October 10 at 10:00 p.m. on COMEDY CENTRAL.
Randy becomes South Park's home-town hero when the guys down at the local bar see the size of his most recent crap. Randy contacts a society that keeps track of the world record, thinking his masterpiece would definitely be a contender.
I know we all cringed to some extent when the prophecy of a Randy Marsh episode came to pass, but I'm cringing now because of the word "society". I really do not have high hopes for this episode.

What a great episode in the second half of eleven! My favorite moment when everyone shots their heads when they saw Chris Hansen part, I still don't know why Matt and Trey edited like that but it was hella funny. It was good when Kyle tires to beat Cartman for once and ending up helping him at the end of the episode. I kinda like that Thomas kid when he said sh*t without any bleeps and I wanted him to be the secondary character for once along with Bradley ( Appear " Cartman Sucks") on the next episode.
I've learn some things in this episode:
1.) Never faked Tourette's or else he spilled out your personal secrets out loud to everyone.
2.) Never talked to Chris Henson on national television or someone will pulled up a gun and shots themselves.
Classic episode. :)
