I was just curious as to how many of you, like myself, do fan-art of the B-man (or Superman, or whatever) - I think it would be cool to share our stuff here. If anyone else is interested, feel free to post.
I just thought it would be fun.

Assuming you're reading this, click on the Toon Zone Forums link at the top, then scroll all the way down to the Creative Lounge section and voila! The Drawing Board. We have many talented artists here (me not being one of them :p ).
Or here, a quick link: http://forums.toonzone.net/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=53

I draw occasionally, but I haven't had the time to do any Batman or BB fan art in a long time.... have to focus on portfolios for animation schools. Some of my stuff is at the Drawing Board (Which I do implore you to check out!)

I'm an artist. I'm currently working on a painted Batman hardcover graphic novel for DC Comics. It's called Batman:Absolution.
It is written by J.M. DeMatteiss and should be out (crossing my fingers) later this spring or summer. I'm 4 pages away from having the whole thing "in the can." In fact, the little icon in the corner of my posts was painted by me as a Batman character study before beginning the project.
I'm a huge animated series fan and am looking forward to all of your comments about my book once it hits the shelves. I've really enjoyed chatting here from time to time over the last year or so as I've had the time...love this site!
I'll keep you posted on a release date if anyone is interested.
Best,
Brian Ashmore

That is so awesome Matches! You must remember to keep us updated on it and when it comes out, you bet I want it when it does! I fancy myself a wanna-be artist at least. I have way too many interest, drawing being one of them. I know I could be a reall wonderful artist (that probably sounds so conceited), but I don't take the time to draw a lot, to practice, or to take art lessons. In fact, the one type I was taking animation classes, I stopped barely a week into it because I wanted to spend my time doing a whole lot of other things. But I do draw from time to time, and it's quite fun, I'll put some of my stuff up on the Drawing Board when I have some time.

Hey Matches, if your avatar is any sign of your work (I haven't checked out the other forum yet), I think your book will look awesome. Good luck with it, and keep us all posted!

I really enjoy drawing Bruce Timm style fan-art. But, like you, optimal321, I can't put it on these boards. :(
