Here's the rundown on some more Disney sequels (and yes..it looks very bad):

Snow Dogs 2 is already in the works. It's currently being written with a late 2003/early 2004 release date in mind.

Jungle Book 2 is going to be released into theatres Febuary 2003. The movie will feature voices by Jophn Goodman and Haley Joel-Osment and will pick up right after the first one concludes.

Snow White 2 seems iffy now, although it's rumored to be in production. A producer for Disney says he woukld "personally love" to make a Snow White sequel. Ugh.

Dumbo 2 is now unsure if it will be a video or theatre release, like a video release.

Cinderella 2 premieres later this month on DVD. Woo. Hoo.

NOOO!!!!! I actually think I feel physical pain from this announcement! Disney needs to learn that 'Classic' films were meant to actually remain classical in the sense of being stand alone stories - no sequel needed. The Disney that I used to know (the one that brought out Lion King, Aladdin, etc) seems to have disappeared. RIP former Disney greatness.
The only things I'm really looking forward to now are Treasure Planet and Lilo and Stitch and the Team Atlantis 'movie'. After their lack of respect for their own stuff and Saban's I find none of this as a surprise. Just glad WB and Dreamworks haven't picked up on the sequelization phase. Now if we could just get Fox to re-open their animation department and finally see Fathom and a Xyber 9 movie all would be good in the world.
Oh no! I just realized something - please don't tell me Xyber 9 was a Saban show, please! I want a Xyber 9 movie but no one cut together from all the different episodes. NOOO!!!!!

How well did Snow Dogs do in the theater? If it didn't do so well, then why a sequal? They've got money to burn, and lots of it, so a flop is just a penny drop in a really, really big barrel to them, I guess.
See, this is why I don't really go to the theater anymore ;) With movies so stupid its sad coming out nowadays (like State Troopers or whatever its called), I just don't... go much. Not that all movies coming out nowadays are dumb, that certainly isn't true, there just seems to be more of the cruddy ones. I'm rambling now, aren't I? Am I making sense?

I had no interest in the first, won't waste with the second.

So this is HJ-O's second Disney sequel, then? He's Esmeralda's son in Hunchback 2. Guessing he's Mowgli and hopefully sounds less strained singing than he did in H2.

The story doesn't sound good from what I've heard, but I think how Cinderella 2 does will be the deciding factor. Cinderella's not as "sacred" as Snow White and arguably more renowned than fellow '50s fairy tale-based Sleeping Beauty.

Dumbo 2 is now unsure if it will be a video or theatre release, like a video release.
I believe Return to Neverland's box office will be a major factor here, as well.

If Xyber 9 is mentioned, I WILL be there! But first, so we don't stray too far off topic...
Okay, it's official. Disney is actually owned by Hell Corp. Unlimited, and its producers are all high-ranking demons. Get some priests in there, NOW!

Aw, man... I'd die of glee if Fox could (1) buy the rights to Xyber 9 from those [explentive deleted] at Saban and (2) air an ending to it, let alone make an entirely new movie!! Don't do this to me, man! It's hard enough rewinding my tape after the ten episodes... it's so depressing. :(

While John Goodman could do a fairly good Baloo, it's 1. way too late as usually for this sequel and 2. WHO WANTS HALEY JO-OSMENT. Ok I feel a little better now. :D I wonder how much he's gonna cry over this
All those movies should be canceled, right now, ASAP, put a red light on those suckers and don't make the public suffer anymore! Save yourselves some money and hire GOOD story writers, just cancel them! PLEASE! *twitches in frustration* :o

Sorry - but I was a big Xyber 9 fan, back in the day when I would actually watch Fox on Saturday mornings (minus the Digimon experiece tho) - Godzilla, Beast Machines, Spidey Unlimited, Xyber 9 and the Magician. That was a great line-up. Look at them now tho - Digimon, followed by Digimon with a special episode of 'you guessed it' the great Digicrud. Hey I despise this show.

This complaining is getting old. It's time you guys realize Disney isn't making these movies for you. These movies are for little kids who can't tell the difference between a quality movie and a cheap movie, and also they don't care.
And Disney is going to keep making bad movies for as long as certain parents keep buying them. Personally, I'd rather show my kids porn.

I'm not sure which is worse: Terminatah's parenting skills or Di$ney's flood of sequels that shouldn't be. :p

Sweet lord, you gave me an idea.
note: DON'T EVER GIVE ME IDEAS.
Well, I'll mark you up for some credit in the flash animation, until then, I got some flashnotes to compose and some storyboard to lay out.

Disney and porn... now that's a combination that's never occured to me before!
I can see the trailers now... "Belle, Princess Jasmine, and Cinderella in a movie unlike any other... The action! The excitment!"... uh, well, you get the idea. :D
Now that's what I'd call a "crossover"! *dodges tomatoes flying at me and -- hey -- did someone just throw a daikon at me?*

Dude, don't apologize! I'm just glad to know other people like Xyber 9, let alone remember it. I used to like Digimon, but this season has been so tedious that I gave up on it. I'd love it if ABC Family had common sense and at least put Xyber 9 on Sunday mornings or something and finish the story. (And if you've got anything like fanart or fanfics you'd like to contribute to the Memorial, anyone, send me a private message. It'll hopefully be done by Easter.)

I edited this out of my original post, but you know if more parents adopted my philosophy, you'd start to see Booty & The Beast hitting the shelves pretty damn quick.

Think of how much cheaper Disney could make videos if they farmed 'em out to little fan-companies that make hentai videos in Japan. :p

There was Blaze, about the affair between a Southern governor and a high-priced callgirl, which was about as close to a skin flick as The Mouse will get (well, technically Ariel was naked from the waist-down in Little Mermaid.....)
The idea isn't original, however--Harlan Ellison suggested it some years back. Which is why his career at Uncle Walt's lasted roughly a half-day (some suits overheard him talking to his coworkers about his idea in the caf).
Ellison, however, isn't exactly a hundred percent there in the head, though, IMO--need I retell the story about "City on the Edge of Forever" and the houseplant? :shudder:

Just wondering, but do you have a web photos of that entire scene from The Little Mermaid?

If their animation department is an example, they DON'T have money to burn. In the past four years, the Mouse House has laid off a total of over 2,000 animators.
