As much as I love Justice League as a high-quality DC Universe show, and as much as I loathe Superfriends as a ghetto DC Universe show, I have to admit that I love to watch Superfriends... just to make fun of it!
In fact, now that Justice League is out, it's fun to watch JL, then SF, and make fun of how bad SF is and praise how good JL is at the same time!
Which made me wonder... will Warner Bros. ever release a box set of "Superfriends" on DVD? Personally, I think it would be entertaining to have both Superfriends and Justice League on DVD, because then you could watch both and make the comparisons I mentioned in the previous paragraph.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I would love to see this and many other campy animated shows from the "let them eat cake" period of animation. Sometimes these can be side splittingly funny, have you ever seen Filmation's DC shows?
I doubt Warner will be giving us such a DVD anytime soon. There is small demand for it, and they don't even want to release the shows that have a great demand. In a perfect world maybe.

I would love to see "SuperFriends" shows make it to DVD...
as silly as they seem to me now, and THANK GOD we have JL.
I loved the show when I was, like, 8 years old- even though now at 36 I have a hard time watching it !! I actually thought Alex Toth's character designs were great... they were just poorly animated !
And speaking of Filmation, they have a TON of superhero cartoons, Star Trek cartoons (which were actually quite good), and live-action stuff as well (anybody else out there remember "SHAZAM !" and "Oh, Mighty ISIS" ?? (Sorry, I'm really showing my age, now !) Anyway. I think it would be pretty cool if some of that vast catalogue would make it to DVD, especially Batman and Star Trek...

Well, only when we get the full run of BTAS, TNBA, STAS, and BB released on DVD should they even THINK of making a Superfriends DVD. As it is I don't know if we'll even get through half of the BTAS release before WB pulls the plug.

If they ever do a Superfriends DVD, they better have the original opening and closing credits, the accompanying bumpers (Safety Tips, etc.), episode previews, and unedited episodes. In other words, show them the way they originally aired, not the chopped up forms they aired since the show returned to television in the mid-90's.
