I came across this unbelieveable movie today:
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/6303962467.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

It makes me wonder how people can release movies like this, movies they KNOW will be bad. Leslie Nielson, Rob Schneider, AND Tone Loc (FUNKY COLD MEDINA fame) star in this piece of sheer crap. If they ever put this one out on DVD then I am thru with the format. Especially if I am still waiting for Star Wars and Indiana Jones on DVD.

I hear ya cal, everytime I hear about a lack luster show getting a season set I'm thinking What the hell?! this show was mediocre! what about sets that have actual GOOD shows?! it's the same way with films, if Surf Ninjas comes out, while I'm still waiting for Ninja Turtles 2, I will pee on New Line's corperate offices. yay.

I don't like it when i crappy movie comes out on DVD as much as you do, but there's one simple solution to this. Don't buy them. Plain, and simple.

Hey...

What's wrong with Surf Ninjas?

It's a very entertaining romp...

I wouldn't mind seeing it maybe just once, but the idea of Leslie Nielson (who really hasn't done great work since the Naked Gun series, IMO) and Rob Schneider (whom I don't care for as an actor at all) and Tone Loc (hey, maybe he can act! I don't know) in the same move sounds like a rather surreal experience to me!

BRAZIL

I hate that film!! If it's already on DVD then woe to all who watch - especially to those who watch it and enjoy the blighter!

In fact, that goes for all Gilliams film! In fact the only DVD i'd watch with Gilliam is one from which special feature involved a scene where a crowd stood and laughed at Gilliam, leering and declaring him to be a dreadful creator of the worst childrens films... EVER.. and yelling insults at him telling the guy that his ability to make 2 hours of your life appear more wasted than any other venture in life deserves a medal - a medal that sings my critical appraisal and total hatred of his movies ALL day long...

By the end of the feature Gilliam would break down and cry and apologise to all those kids he upset through the end of TimeBandits/Baron dull head/Twelve Monkeys. He'd then give me money as compensation for being lured into watching the dreadful Brazil... ;)

Sorry, that was an unacceptable rant...

Made me feel better though.. :D

The edited version of Brazil, currently available as a single disc DVD, is totally forgettable and unforgingly cut up by a mad studio who ruined the movie. The uncut version, currently availabe in a three DVD set from Criterion, is sheer brilliance. Woe to those who cannot see that!

Well, I'm pretty sure that I know why the second TMNT film hasn't come out on DVD yet....The Vanilla Ice dance club fight...arghhh!!! :D but I still am dying to get TMNT2 on DVD. I hope that the TMNT cartoon isn't horrid, like I deeply fear it may be and speaking of TMNT shows, the 3D TMNT show that WB turned down looked really cool, too bad... :(

HEY!!!! Thanks for reminding me ZorBrak!!!! Believe it or not, we were talking about Vanilla Ice the other day at work, and I mentioned how I saw a clip of his Ninja Rap on VH1 and I said I wanted to download that MP3. It's been bugging me all night to remember what song it was I wanted to download, and you helped me remember! I am downloading it now!

This might be the Glitter of the 80's and one most people would least like to see on DVD, but kinda would love to see his movie Cool As Ice on DVD. It's so bad, it's unintentionally funny.

Hold up, guys (and girls). You all seem to me like more or less film buffs (especially you, Calhoun). Of course, your film knowledge pales in comparison to my awesome might, but I personally have learned to take in the bad as the good. Ya catch my drift? For instance, I love Surf Ninjas because it's so generic; I also love Clerks, but for different reasons. Anyhoo... if ya hate somethin, ya hate somethin, and far be it from me to try to change your worthless Surf Ninjas-hating mind.

Actually, this is my first day and I'm just trying to get my avatar while still posting worthwhile comments. Thanks for reading this, Sucka!
