Downloadable Content. I just hope us Canadians aren't screwed over price wise.

It's kind of rare games have really big heavy releases like that. In fact I think the only other big release recently to break the 150 Plus mark that didn't come in a simplier form was Steel Battilon for the Xbox. That was a rare commidity though. I'm sure they're trying to make this a big succesful series. But even with Guitar Hero's popularity will enough people buy Rock Band? I mean it is an interesting concept and I'm sure some will be into the rock band mentality, but I don't really see it reaching GH's success. Makes me wonder just how many of the games they're going to make. Guess we'll find out closer to release of it.

Not too bad. Considering that the release date is going to be Black Friday (aka the day after Thanksgiving that officially starts the holiday shopping season), I wonder if various stores (i.e. Best Buy, Circuit City, Toys 'R' Us) will ticket this game (AKA only those people who arrived early and got a ticket while waiting in the cold November weather will be allowed to get a copy of the game).

Game, Guitar, Mic, Drum Set.

... day after Thanksgiving, a day I'm guaranteed to work?

... dammit.

I smell ebay profit! Rock Band bundles will be impossible to get a hold of this Christmas and will be the "IT" item this year. I really want to get it, but $170 is a nice chunk of money especially at a time of the year were many great games are getting released including my most anticipated game of the year, Mass Effect, which releases on November 20th.

Make it available with just one of the peripherals, then I'll see about it. I am not paying $170 for just one game. I'll only be willing to get it if I can buy it with just one of them (prefereably the mic).

That's a pretty good deal, especially in light of the fact the speculation was that it could be more than $200. I guess you'd need another guitar to play bass, but if you have any Guitar Hero releases you've probably got that covered.

Are you saying that the guitar hero guitar (PS2) will work with Rock Band?

I've read in several places that the 360 Guitar Hero controller will work with Rock Band, but I've never heard that the PS2 one specifically will. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't, but you never know.

Nope, you can use the 360 GH2 guitar on Rockband.

But, it's up to Activision to decide if the GH3 guitar works on Rockband.

$170, huh? Eh, could of been worse, I guess. Wonder why the PS2 gets a version while the Wii gets left out, though.
