'bout time for one of these, eh Colin? *elbows*
I hope theres more than 3 people on here who actually watch this show.. but anyways...

It was really fantastic tonight. Honestly fantastic. Perfect way to start a season.
I was on the edge of my bed the whole time and my emotions were going haywire. I coulda sworn I gasped so loud I almost fell over. The ending just blew me away, too. I was so incredibly glad Sara lived. I mean, I really thought she wouldn't for awhile since hearing a rumor that the actress who played her might quit. I wonder if every few seasons now they will focus on one of the CSI guys in some big old case like this one. They went from Nick, to Sara, to....?

The only thing missing tonight was more Greg^_^

I was sure she was going to be dead. I was so sure of it. When they found the car I thought shes either dead or it's not the right car. Then when they found the dead body I thought it was her until they said it wasn't. Then when she fell I thought for sure they were going to find her dead. THen when they did find her and didn't get the pulse I thought she was dead. I was wrong pretty much the entire episode. The rumors she was quitting didn't help.

I watch CSI, though I won't see this episode for a few hours, but this was not the series premiere, so the episode thread title is inaccurate. It was the season premiere, but not the series premiere.

I will admit I already know one spoiler though because I saw the preview for next weeks episode.

Yeah, I was glued to the couch pretty for the entire show and the show after it:anime: .

Anyway, even though Sara survived her ordeal, she's still not out of danger.
Next week, she and Grissom face an even worse threat: Internal Affairs Man!

Oh yeah, and there's also that creepy Natalie, the "Miniature Killer." Does anyone out there think she's putting on a "catatonic state" act?

And didn't Natalie slit Grissom's throat at the end of the "Living Doll" episode last season? What happened with that?

You missed the part right after that. It showed that her shlashing Grissom's throat and singing the song her dad sang as the daughter was inside of her head. She was singing the song and rocking back-and-forth in the interrogation room while Grissom tried to learn where Sara was before giving up.

Looks like Louise Lombard's no longer being listed in the opening credits, and in her place is Wallace Langham. A shame too. I liked seeing her name on a higher plane than the other guest cast.

Larry Hankin was in this episode? I don't remember seeing him at all.

I just read that Jorja Fox is indeed leaving the show. Which is to bad.:crying: Can't say I didn't see it when it was revealed to all about the Sara-Grissiom relationship.:( I wonder if this is fallout for the 2004 stunt.

I never understood what the stunt was all about? The producers thought she was quitting the show, but she never said she was. I think the producers heard some rumors, thought they were true, and decided to shoot first, and ask questions later.

I don't see CBS firing two of the main stars of a top rated show for failing to confirm something, so I would think they would try to get answers before firing them.

I finally saw the episode, and I'll say the CSI season premieres are typically the best episodes in the season. I always enjoy it when they focus more on teh actual person being affected instead of studying the many clues left behind. Usually there's too many clues (in my opinion).

I thought it was great that it wasn't Grissom who found Sara. I've felt those two are good as lovers, but they also cause a lot of complications when they try to get the two on the screen together to discuss a case. I think it's good that they'll get some of the minor characters more involved in the episodes.

I was surprised that Louise Lombard wasn't in the opening credits, but I wouldn't be surprised if she's only in this episode with the opening credits change. I've enjoyed her character, but they can almost get anyone in a cop mode, whereas the internal CSI tends to be more intense (especially since he's on the opening credits seeming to say he'll be in many episodes this season).

That and the the last episodes of the season. I love it when they leave off with one of those big huge heavy cases that usually takes a couple episodes to figure out.

Finally getting a chance to play catch up on my CSI now that I'm back from being overseas...

The season premiere was excellent! Had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. This is gonna sound a bit mean, but I really hoped Sara wasn't going to make it. I think it's time for Sara to go, but that's just me.

Even tho Sara survived, I think it was more important for Nick to find her than Grissom, if only because of the point that the showrunners made by flashing back to "Gum Drops." Nick has always been someone who holds on and hopes for the best when it comes to victims who could potentially be alive. Everyone else on the team is always ready to accept the inevitable, but Nick is the one who has learned through experience that if there's a chance, to never give up hope.

I really enjoyed watching the pieces of the puzzle come together and seeing how Sara's horrific night in the flash-flooding desert came together. Overall, a powerful start to the season, hopefully they'll be able to keep up the momentum throughout the season!
